Grévin Montréal, Montreal

4.0
#6 of 40 in Museums in Montreal
Experience lifelike representations of figures important to Canadian history and culture as well as international figures when you visit Grévin Montréal. Opened in 2013, the museum acts as an extension of the Paris museum of the same name. The museum houses more than 100 wax figures with plans to continuously add more. Marvel at the likeness in wax of figures like Celine Dion, Albert Einstein, Leonardo DiCaprio, and more. Do not miss the interactive exhibit that shows you what you would look like as a wax figure, too. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Montreal holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Grévin Montréal and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • The Grévin is inside a mall in the Sainte Catherine and is a fun ride! There you can see various celebrities sculpted in wax, in addition to a beautiful show at the entrance of the Museum. The Museum offers also several related accessories the personalities represented for visitors to do pictures on the site! I thought the visit super fun and I think it is very worthwhile for those who like that sort of attraction, especially if you have purchased the MTL Passeport.

  • Is not the most relevant museums, but it has the merit to please young people... and the not so young. Some characters are very well managed. It is interesting to discover important figures in the history of Quebec (Indian, explorers, etc - I say no more). Funny surprises. Animation for small workshops. The visit is fluid and leaves space to linger with figures. We regret some absentees that are part of the world but the usual Mandela, Queen Elisabeth, and Charlie Chaplin are loyal to the post.

  • The Grévin Museum in Montreal is a fun hour looking at wax effigies of various famous Canadians and some others. It purports to tell a story of Canadian history but not very well. The wax figures are ...  more »

  • Very fun outing in Montreal! I spent a good 3--4 hours with my friend there. A lot of entertainment and epic photo opportunities. A cheap alternative for ''meeting'' your favorite celebrities ! A must-do at least one time !
  • Good experience! I recommend everyone to check it out! Also expect a lot of French-Canadian famous wax people in the beginning.
  • Great museum with cool accesories to take photos and inside the mall.
  • Worth of seeing, very nice arranged wax museum with lots of famous and historical persons
  • Great place, Get a picture with justin beiber or tom hanks and amaze your friends

Where to stay in Montreal

If beautiful architecture and views over the water appeal, stay in the historic neighborhood of Vieux Montreal (Old Montreal), where you'll be a stone's throw from the best attractions in the city. If modern convenience is more important to you, look for accommodations in the downtown neighborhood of Centre-Ville, or head a bit farther out to the artsy district of Plateau Mont-Royal. LGBTI visitors might want to consider staying in The Village, Montreal's famously progressive hub of gay and lesbian culture.
