Flea Market Shopping
Opened in 1933, Atwater Market continues to serve as the city's premier destination for fresh produce. Take time to appreciate the market's construction and art-deco style before heading in to see vendors selling fine foods, baked goods, meats, fish, and fruits and vegetables year-round. The market is renowned for its selection of butchers and delicatessens. Because items are high quality here, finding a bargain may be quite a challenge. • I always visit this market in June when there are so many plants - vegetables and herbs. I have never seen such healthy, fresh plants. The market has lots of outdoor fruit and vegetable stands. Inside...  more »

  • The Atwater Market is great overall, but the food stalls are extraordinary. I particularly recommend Le Petit Sao, a Vietnamese food stall. Try the banh mi.  more »

  • A quiet market bursting with fresh berries and cheese. Quiet coffee shops and verdant plants for sale. Wander through the stalls to find a few delicious hidden gems or farm fresh inspiration for your next meal. Bike rental located directly across the canal and a floating bar barge should you want to enjoy the sun with a refreshing drink and great company.
  • This market was great... super colorful with flowers, fruits and vegetables. Great prices for local products. If you want to get maple syrup Or some fresh organic jam, this is the place. Its very authentic and in general the area where is located is nice to spend some hours. Very very nice!
  • Stopped here for breakfast. French bakery offered fantastic array of pastries, coffee, salads even lasagna. Pastries were fantastic, lasagna was good and coffee delicious. More flowers and potted plants than food I thought but the produce looked really fantastic including the strawberries. Cured meats, sausages and pizza. Definitely a place to visit taste and stroll. Parking can be tough but get there early and no problems. Be sure when you park to put ticket in car (free).
  • It's got everything you need for entertaining for brunch, lunch, tea or dinner and all wrapped up with Montreal charm. Superb cheeses, bread, some nice craft beer, a small but interesting selection of wine, pastries, meats, patés. Beautiful flowers and fresh fruit in season. Quite European in feel and in a beautiful structure. I am not certain it is accessible to those with mobility issues.
  • We loved this place. We rode bikes here from the old port. We stopped for a beer and enjoyed it so much, we stayed for a second beer and played cornhole, made new friends, and took pics of the old industrial factory across a beautiful green field. It was a great way to spend the afternoon! They do Jane food here. We didn't eat because we had dinner plans but it looked good.
