  • Too much hype, especially for Christmas. It wasn't horrible and it did have some character just overall not what I was expecting. Lots of little tents with a variety of items.

  • Trendy, fresh fruit, organic fruit, fresh butchers, this place is a foodie dream. It also has parking for 90 minutes. Smaller than Jean talon market, but always fun for a visit. In the summer the food court is excellent and you can eat outside with at the lachine canal.
  • Wonderful market with beautifully seasonal fruits and vegetables. Also a great assortment of cured meats, terrines, pate, and cheese. I literally had the best baguette of my life at the bakery there. There is also a area where they sell food to eat there. A bonus is you can get some beautiful picnic items and enjoy it at the river there.
  • Where: Atwater market What: A market tucked away in the city How was it: This place is good. Parking is not always easy but it's free compared to other markets. Here you can go inside to get stuff from a bakery, butcher or other specialty foods (ex: cheese). Just outside you can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms. The price feels higher to, say the Jean Talon market. But it's a good alternative. Grade: Eli = 4, Serge = 4 Recommend: Yes, the market is nice and good for a small walk near the canal.
  • This market is located right by the Canal. Great place to walk to. Tons of local food and produce. Great gift ideas. Wonderful plant selection. Great place yo spend the day.
  • A superb market with a variety of food and drink products for sale - fresh butcher meats & charcuteries, boulangeries, cafés, fromageries, locally sourced fruit and vegetables, plants, and other grocery stores. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly (which I especially appreciated as a tourist - they were quick to banter and chat with everyone in line without a rush.) I loved it here; the prices are reasonable and the quality is excellent. I did most of my grocery shopping here while I stayed for the weekend.
