Walk with the animals and talk with animals at Magnetic Hill Zoo. Established in 1953 as a game farm home to orphaned and injured indigenous species, the zoo has expanded extensively over the years to feature more than 400 critters from over 100 indigenous and exotic species. Come and make friends with the lemurs, otters, lions, and bears in the 16 hectare (40 acre) site, with enclosures designed to resemble the species' natural habitats. The visitor center and signage around the zoo offers information of interest to children and adults, meaning you'll pick up plenty of interesting facts about your new friends. • This place is awesome. It takes a full afternoon to see everything. Lots of different types of animals. The tiger exhibit is pretty nice. When we went they had tiger cubs so that was really nice. Grea...  more »
  • This truly is a mysterious phenomenon. I even got out and walked in front of the car trying to figure it out.
  • This was the first time I have been to a zoo and all of their animals were actually awake and walking around! I have never seen a cougar or a jaguar up and pacing, usually they are just napping. The b...  more »

  • We went yesterday, along with our 2 certified therapy dogs (15 lbs each)! We had a guide as they wanted to make sure the animals did not get upset.(theirs and ours). It was such a Great experience! Valerie, our wonderful guide) was extremely knowledgeable and answered our endless questions. Her love for the animals was clear, talking to them all by name! She allowed us enough time and did not rush us. She made the day for us. The Zoo was extremely clean, well maintained and beautiful. As we walked, we felt we were in their natural habitat. The different types of animals were so interesting. I can't pick a favorite! I would recommend this to anyone. We went back to our hotel and told them to tell visitors how great the Zoo is.
  • Great outing for kids young and old. A variety of wildlife to see, clean, good layout, and information sessions throughout the day to learn more about the animals at the zoo. There's a large play structure in the middle of the park for kids, and washroom facilities are nearby no matter what area of the zoo you are in. I wish there was at least one more food/take-out option in the zoo - both for variety (and preferably healthier options), but also because around noon, the wait is lengthy. TIP: Bring quarters (25 cent coins) if you want to feed the goats, deer, ducks, and alpaca's.
  • Such a great zoo, we're so lucky that it's just down the street. We spent all day there, the kids enjoyed it so much! The new playground is fantastic, too, it was a nice break after lunch to get to stop and play for a bit. We were especially glad to get to see the baby tigers!
  • Love going there. So much to do. There is a restaurant that is soo good the zoo is beautiful and magnetic hill is neat.
  • Fantastic zoo!! Great facilities and staff and lots of different animals to look at. Price is reasonable. Save a few hours for this attraction so you can take your time and enjoy the exhibits.
