Walk with the animals and talk with animals at Magnetic Hill Zoo. Established in 1953 as a game farm home to orphaned and injured indigenous species, the zoo has expanded extensively over the years to feature more than 400 critters from over 100 indigenous and exotic species. Come and make friends with the lemurs, otters, lions, and bears in the 16 hectare (40 acre) site, with enclosures designed to resemble the species' natural habitats. The visitor center and signage around the zoo offers information of interest to children and adults, meaning you'll pick up plenty of interesting facts about your new friends. • Good variety of animals from all over the world. Everything from bugs and reptiles to lions and tigers.
  • Such a great zoo, we're so lucky that it's just down the street. We spent all day there, the kids enjoyed it so much! The new playground is fantastic, too, it was a nice break after lunch to get to stop and play for a bit. We were especially glad to get to see the baby tigers!
  • This zoo has a good selection of animals from a few different continents. It's clean, affordable, and the staff is friendly. They also have a fairly big playground which the kids love. The animals also look well cared for and their enclosures appear to be well kept.
  • It nice and clean. Got to see 3 cute tiger cubs. Seeing the baboon by himself bothered me since it's a social animal. It was fun feeding the ducks and swans. The petting zoo goats were too aggressive
  • For a small zoo, it has much to offer. The lions and monkeys were especially playful, and the enclosures let you feel closer to the animals than at larger zoos. This zoo is well worth the price, and it's a great way to spend a couple hours.
  • Very nice zoo with very nice enclosures. Animals seem well cared for and the staff are very helpful and friendly. It's also a very affordable family outing.
