  • Great nature park, the trails are made in a way that doesn't detract from the natural experience much. It's probably the best park to have a walk through nature in the Greater Moncton area. There are lots of birds and ducks and other small animals to hear and see.
  • Main trails are amazingly well maintained, even during winter months they are cleared ( in most places) down to the gravel, which makes for a safer ( ice free) walk ;)
  • Great place for a walk. Whether you are on your own, with family or with a dog, this is a nice place not too far from town. 15 minutes away from city center and you're there. Nice water reservoir with ducks that the kids will love
  • Head straight to the Scout trail, then go on the John Howard trail. It's a great walk, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
  • Great place to walk. A lot of people take pictures here so prepare to be patient, especially with kids.

Where to stay in Moncton

The center of the city remains the most popular place to stay, with the appropriately named Main Street offering the best selection of hotels. Using this area as your base, you'll be just a stone's throw from the water, the pleasant Riverfront Park, and the city's main train station. For a more budget-friendly option, look to the motels a few blocks back from the water, along St. George Street. If you're just passing through, consider staying at one of the chain hotels near the airport, to the east of the city.
