We were in bike riding through Mississauga and worth making a break at the foot of this river. Gardens, families having fun, people exercising is what you will find, in addition to local birds. Also if you're there be sure to visit the Community Center, a very nice place.

I walk around this lake a few times a week and always enjoy it. I see people fishing, biking and using the fitness stations. I love watching the kids running through the sprinkler behind the Meadowvale Community Center and Library. There are basketball courts there as well. You'll find a few picnic tables and benches along the way.

Lovely park with a trail that looks around the lake. It takes around 20-40 minutes to walk around the park (depending on your walking speed). If you drove here, you can park your car at the community center and walk 4 minutes through the building into the park. lt also has a viewing deck and an area where people come fishing if they wanted.

A nice lake in the middle of the big city! I could get my nature fix since I am from a small town with nothing but nature. Would recommend visiting for a nice walk in the summer!

Where to stay in Mississauga

Mississauga is best known for housing Toronto's airport-- most of the city's accommodations cluster just a few minutes from the terminal. If you're looking for a place to rest before your flight, you'll find a range of options on Dixon Road, to the north of the airport, or on Eglington Road West to the south. Don't expect much character--your options include mid-range chain hotels and basic inns, with little else on offer. You can find a handful of business-oriented hotels in the city itself, mainly located around Burnhamthorpe Road.
