  • This is on of the most seen of the Glooscap statues, even though most people only see it from behind on the highway. Those who are more than just passing by through Nova Scotia might want to take a st...  more »
  • If we are in Nova Scotia we keep always the "big Indian". A small Kulturzentum with Museum and shop. You can buy Indian handicrafts and in the courage, the Aboriginal history learn some Kit. For children there are painting and craft occasions. You drive the road continues past subway and Tim Hortons, so even a small, unassuming shop located at the end called "Glooscap's trading post". Here, too, you can buy beautiful, Indian Arts and crafts and souvenirs. It is fun to be there to watch.

  • Interesting gift shop but there didn't appear to be any reason to pay for entrance here. Maybe they were closed but it was hard to tell what was on offer here.
  • Educational and fun. Lots of good information on the history of First Nations in the Canadian Maritime.
  • It used to be free to see the statue of Glooscap. The museum is nice, but after you've been there a few times it gets old.
  • Picked up some nice native prints.
  • The staff at the Glooscap Heritage Centre are phenomenal! I brought a grade 10 Mi'kmaq Studies class here. The experience was exceptional and the staff brought interest, fun and education to the class with their workshops and their knowledge. I highly recommend bringing a class to the Centre. We concluded with a Smudging Ceremony - it was a beautiful conclusion to a well organized and positive day. Thank you to the staff for your kindness and for sharing your culture and knowledge! Truly!
