  • This is a very nice place. I got to be here a few times during the summer and also during Autumn/Fall. Me and my sons went down by the river and taken a lot of pix. Its so beautiful. The first time I went there was for a small powwow. I had also gone there for a tour with my youngest sons school on a field trip. They had tipi's up during the summer and fall months. And they have an underground home as well, and some other native themed things there. There is a huge fire pit and lots of firewood around the tipi area, and the community area there is a lot of picnic tables, and at the top of the hill driving on the way down to this area, there is a lookout point, that has a beautiful view of the area, to also look down on the Heritage Village area as well.
  • One of the best places to visit for scenery, offers great educational aspects of the Xatsull culture. Staff are very helpful and respectful. Also has a traditional dipnet fishing site.
  • The elders and the youth who work together and learn from each other were very hospitable and open with their knowledge and experiences. The view from the cultural site over the river, and the hike down past the carved Boulder into the river canyon itself, is breathtaking. The cultural site is an awesome place to take a wilderness break just off the highway on a long driving day. It's also a great chance to see the dug out pit houses that they have constructed on site (a building style not often associated with BC or even Canada).
