Chutes Provincial Park, Massey

#3 of 17 in Wildlife in Northeastern Ontario
Chutes Provincial Park is a recreation class provincial park in Sables-Spanish Rivers, Ontario near the community of Massey, Ontario, Canada. The park is named after a logging chute that diverted logs around the waterfall on the Aux Sables River. The waterfall is considered the main attraction at the park, along with the Seven Sisters Rapids found upstream from the waterfall.Unlike many other provincial parks, its proximity to Massey allows the park to use the municipal water supply, meaning that water does not have to be boiled before drinking.

Great park! It was quiet and peaceful. Staff were always friendly. Amazing trail and waterfalls. Only downside was he beach, expected an actual beach but this was mostly pebbled. Would suggest adding a bit more sand as we had looked forward to swimming and lying on the shore! Everything else was great though.

Just a basic park with just the right amount of amenities. It has a nice quite park feel. Good swimming below the waterfalls. Close to the small town of Massy.

My new favourite camping location! My partner and I stayed in the RF zone and it was so quiet and peaceful! The staff were friendly and helpful, the only reason I docked one star is due to the cleanliness of the bathrooms. I recommend walking the extra distance to the main bathrooms/comfort station at the front of the campground. Visited in July 2016.
