  • My wife an I stayed at the Cabot Golf Resort in Inverness and the food there was OK. Someone mentioned that we should try Gleonra and the found the food to be excellent. We did not take a tour of the ...  more »
  • Beautiful distillery with clear reference to the Scottish roots. The guide is entertaining and interesting. The product is good, when the price at CAN$ 80 for the 10-year wrong, good Highland single malt you can get € 35, but good one here just has a certain rarity value and North American tongue customary for the Bourbon is something special.

  • Glenora Inn is located in a beautiful Cape Breton valley. We went the first week of June and met people from the USA, Germany and Australia. The room was double occupancy, somewhat small and showing its 20+ years. The staff were very cheerful and helpful. Took the distillery tour, very informative. Dinner was pricey, and not as delicious as one would expect for the price, but the ambience was nice and the grounds beautiful. Listened to a couple local musicians playing traditional and contemporary Cape Breton music in the pub in the evening, enjoying local craft beer. All in all it was pretty nice, if a bit rich for my blood. The black flies were merciless, though. Also we drove by the chateaus on the way out. They were super cute and all had million dollar views of the valley. Had a great time, probably won't be back.
  • Lovely place. Location is beautiful, very peaceful with a creek running through the grounds, which happens to be the water source for the whisky. Food at the restaurant was amazing. Room was nice, bed was incredibly comfortable. Wonderful experience!
  • We had a wonderful time at the Inn. The dinner was fantastic. The steak was done to perfection and the wine pairing was top notch. We stayed for the live music and drink which was also fantastic. The room was large and the bed was extremely comfortable.
  • If your visiting Cape Breton this is must! Outstanding service, staff, music, food and live music. By far one of the best places, I have been.
  • Nice place to visit. I wish tour was more informative and interesting. Whiskey starts at $115/bottle
