We stopped in here for the purpose of doing the tour. On the positive side, the grounds are beautiful and we would like to go back an spend the night in one of the mountain chalets. The tour was very ... read more »

We stayed at the inn and drank at the bar, had breakfast and also dinner. Overall a great experience and wonderful service. They were very busy for dinner but made a great effort to ensure the dining experience was good. Whiskey was also quite good, and bar music was very good! :)
Tour was a bust. We arrived just in time for the 3PM tour, and as such the three of us were in the back of the group. Could not hear the tour guide for the whole tour, even with his hand held speaker. When serving testers, many questions were asked, could not hear anything in that part of the tour because we, along with 5 other people, could not fit in the room. We finally abandoned the tour half way through (This coming from a whiskey lover). Have travelled all around the world for a year, and this was the worst $7 dollar tour.
Quaint whiskey distillery tucked away in the foothills of west Cape Breton Island. Kind staff and amazing tour of a single malt whiskey distillery. Clean and comfortable cabins, authentic Celtic nightly entertainment... oh and great whiskey!!
Great staff and beautiful landscape. The tour was ok. I wish we got to see more of the property but overall great experience. Having a wedding here would be spectacular.
AMAZING! The experience that our family had at Glenora Inn is extra out of norm: we got stuck in the woods with an RV and did not have anywhere to stay or how to get there. Our 3 y/o son was getting scared in the woods at that point. When we called Glenora Inn - they not only provided us with a beautiful Chalet at a reasonable price, but also manager Bertha, who is an absolute charm to deal with picked us up from the logging road, then gave her personal vehicle, so we could get up and down the hill and was helping us until 2AM to organize and to negotiate with a local towing company. She did not have to do 90% of the things that she helped us with showing us again the hospitality of Cape Breton and amazing people that live here. DEFINITELY recommend this place and would like to leave my personal thank you to Bertha and the team at Glenora Inn.
