Forget all your worries by strolling the manicured gardens at Victoria Park, known for its population of black squirrels. Watch the skateboarders or catch a live performance at the band shell, home to many special events during the warmer months. Consider bringing a picnic lunch and finding a quiet spot to relax and replenish your strength before continuing your city tour. • Lovely spot to walk around or sit down and watch the people go by during the day. Not really a place I'd like to walk around at night by myself.  more »
  • Really nice park near city centre helps make you forget the hustle and bussle of your surroundings. Well worth your time off in the area.  more »
  • Victoria Park is located in the center of downtown London, ON. During the summer, it is a place to relax under the trees and feed the many squirrels running around. Within a 3 to 5 minute walk, there ...  more »

  • A pretty park with a few different loops to vary one's walk. It looks magical in the month of December with all the Christmas lights and people skating. During the Summer months there are many festivals with musical stages and food vendors. The public washroom is usually clean but unfortunately it isn't always open in the Spring and Fall.
  • A nicely groomed park in central London, lots of friendly squirrels, but nothing more than a walking and relaxing park. The winter time is much more beautiful with the Christmas lights on all of the trees, and the ice rink by the amphitheatre. If you like festivals, this is the place to be on weekends during the warmer months!
  • Beautiful park. Tons of places to sit and enjoy lunch. A lot of interesting statues with historical significance. Good for families.
  • Great park in the middle of the city! Good for meeting up with groups and walking. Often hosts festivals on the weekends during summer.
  • Very green. Well, except in winter. Lots of trees. A nice tank too. Great for festivals.

Where to stay in London

To make the most of sightseeing in London, it's best to stay in the center, as close as possible to the confluence of the city's two rivers. You'll be just a stone's throw from the city's best parks, as well as good entertainment. If you're just passing through and looking for budget accommodations while in transit, look east along Dundas Street--as you approach the airport, you'll find a host of affordable roadside motels. For a more suburban feel--and proximity to the city's biggest mall--head south to White Oaks, where you'll find a cluster of accommodations.
