  • Excellent conservation area. Trails are easy walking. Can be muddy on woodland loop in spring. Good place for birding. There is an off leash dog park. Parking is 2 dollars. Only 7 k from lindsay.  more »

  • Nice and calming. I liked the boardwalk.
  • Quiet place, with lots of trails to explore. A play ground and off leash dog park are two of the mant features of the place. The transcanada rail trail runs through the middle of the conservation area.
  • I just saw a sign "Ken Reid Fan Club" on hockey night in Canada. Congrats on HockeyVille!

  • I was only there for an hour on a cold April day, so this is an interim review. But in that short time, I realized that this is a special place. The hauntingly lonely playground my kids discovered may be dated, but the view of Goose Bay is spectacular. I spotted over ten species of bird, a large snake, and heard the thrashing of an unidentified mammal in the brush. The place was practically deserted on a Saturday morning, but the few people I met were friendly. Roads are horribly rutted and make for slow driving. Can't wait to go back and explore this park!
