The Rivière des Mille Îles is a channel of the Ottawa River in southwestern Quebec, Canada and runs into the Rivière des Prairies. It is long.It divides Île Jésus from the North Shore, the northern mainland suburbs of Montreal The river rises at the narrowing of the Lac des Deux Montagnes, the area where the Ottawa River widens as it feeds into the St Lawrence at Montreal, and flows west to east. It joins the Rivière des Prairies at the eastern tip of Île Jésus, which shortly thereafter joins the St. Lawrence at the eastern tip of the Island of Montreal. As its name suggests, the river contains many small islands which are part of the Hochelaga Archipelago. It is not to be confused with the Thousand Islands at the head of the St. Lawrence River, in Ontario and New York State.

  • We took our dog here for a nice winter walk along the river ! Parking is free . Ice fishing takes place on the river here. There is also a skating rink and a cool ice structure for kids to play in.  more »
  • It is a nice place to go canoeing. You can see the old Celine Dion house. You have to be aware that it is on a river, so there can be a lot of wind and strong current. You will have a good workout. In...  more »

  • Even with the big construction that is going to last until spring 2018, this place is still so cool. Great nature photo potential. Wonderful river.
  • They need to do a better job with there signs especially while construction is going on, at some points the trail seems to end with no signs. Besides that the park is nice and if you enjoy kayaking the price for renting is not bad
  • The islands are beautiful and the water does not have a lot of currents. Makes for a great place to kayak/canoe for a day even for the less experienced/beginners.
  • A place where you can rent canoes and kayaks to go for a spin among the islands of the Riviere des milles isles!
  • Love it. Must try.We will definitely be going back often.
