4.5/5 based on 65+ reviews on the web
The Rivière des Mille Îles is a channel of the Ottawa River in southwestern Quebec, Canada and runs into the Rivière des Prairies. It is long.It divides Île Jésus from the North Shore, the northern mainland suburbs of Montreal The river rises at the narrowing of the Lac des Deux Montagnes, the area where the Ottawa River widens as it feeds into the St Lawrence at Montreal, and flows west to east. It joins the Rivière des Prairies at the eastern tip of Île Jésus, which shortly thereafter joins the St. Lawrence at the eastern tip of the Island of Montreal. As its name suggests, the river contains many small islands which are part of the Hochelaga Archipelago. It is not to be confused with the Thousand Islands at the head of the St. Lawrence River, in Ontario and New York State.

  • This Park is the perfect place to introduce children to the canoe, kayak or even to make the boat. Small themselves as pirates by exploring the small islands on the River, then they are enjoying themselves watching the ducks. The prices are very affordable and the staff friendly. However, in my opinion, this isn't an ideal site for fishing because of the level too low water in summer and algae. Same thing for winter fishing shacks. They are too close to the edge to get beautiful shots or even a single dose.

  • The river is very beautiful with its biosphere. We love to kayak and admire the wild geese. You feel in the country so it is quiet in late afternoon. The Park offers a look for picnic outside and even play a game of volleyball

  • Amazing experience. To go with friends, on a date or with family. You can go down on some of the tiny islands and go for a walk too
  • Possibilité de louer canot, kayaks, pédalo pour visiter la rivière des mille-îles. Très beau site.
  • I've been there 3 times over the past 3 years and will be returning again and again! They have rabaska (large canots up to 10 adults, sturdy and stable!), affordable (under $150 per day). The staff is very friendly and welcoming! The islands are really cool to visit and there are many of them
  • Nice place for canoeing on a weekend
  • This a beautiful natural reserve to canoe, kayak, and enjoy the wildlife!
