The strikingly blue glacier-fed waters of Peyto Lake feature mesmerizing color caused by tiny particles of the rock the glacier brings forth when it "flows" in summer. From the lake, you can hike to Bow Summit--the highest point in the Canadian Rockies--and take in views from a viewing platform.   • While the hike is a bit strenous for 60 year olds, its is definitely do able and the veiws are amazing. The trail was flower lined and paved. We will go back, but this is much better thatn Lake Louise...  more »
