Peyto Lake, Lake Louise

(4.9/5 based on 1,900+ reviews on the web)
The strikingly blue glacier-fed waters of Peyto Lake feature mesmerizing color caused by tiny particles of the rock the glacier brings forth when it "flows" in summer. From the lake, you can hike to Bow Summit--the highest point in the Canadian Rockies--and take in views from a viewing platform. If you have mobility issues, you can park closer to the viewing platform. Don't forget your camera. Put Peyto Lake into our Banff National Park vacation route planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.
