  • This place is one of the stops you should include on a multi day trip to the Rockies. If you're only here for a day, maybe skip it in favour of Banff, Johnston Canyon, Lake Louise, Columbia Icefields ...  more »
  • This is easy to find on Highway 93...35 minutes and 48km from Banff. The trail starts at the carpark and winds around the canyon. You can do it in half an hour.Lots of photo spots. If your lucky like me ...  more »
  • This place is a must if you are in Kootenay. The "hike" isn't very long and you get to cross some very fun/high bridges across the canyon. We loved this area!  more »

  • Superb views and fun walk with bridges! A quick stop of the road but can home first if desired. A must see!
  • It was a really lovely short hike to make. We went in the winter and the trail was packed down enough that regular boots were fine in the snow. Definitely recommend
  • Nice hike and short enough for anybody's liking. No obvious signs for this so for us it was a pleasant surprise. Obey the railing signs, or not.
  • A short hike that takes you through millions of years of erosion. There was a wild fire about 10 years ago in the area and new trees are booming, the scene shows the cycle of life. A great experience for everyone in the family especially if you are interested in geology.
  • Easy hike for everyone, you follow one trail all the way up and around the canyon. You can go off track if you have the shoes for it, and try to avoid peak visiting times or you'll not get the chance to take a decent photo from the narrow bridge s overlooking the canyon!
