Victoria Park, Kitchener
(4.6/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
Spend a day in the oldest park in the city at Victoria Park. The park not only has a history going back to the 19th century, but it also offers plenty of features. A picnic shelter offers a place to eat, or take the kids to the playground and splash pad. Others may want to make use of the horseshoe pit or basketball court. A historic clock tower adorns one of the entrances. The park’s pavilion, which the city rents out for special events like musical performances, is a must-see. • Any time of year there is something to do: from festivals in the warmer weather to a quiet place to walk anytime of the year. The homes in the park take you back to a simpler time. a visit to Kitchene...  more »
  • I spent some time wandering this park and loved it. It was well taken care of and a very nice place to go and relax and walk around.
  • The Park is in the central region and is worth a visit! Is quite large, so if you want to know all the Park recommend going to bike or separate at least half a day went in the fall and vegetation was beautiful! < 3

  • Super nice place to go during the summer, right in the heart of Kitchener ON. Lots of events going on during the summer and the Boat House is a bar located right in the middle of the park. Excellent place to have few drinks and relax looking at the little lake. Nice place to work and also has playground. I love Kitchener!!
  • Wonderful paved walkways. Great place for the whole family. Loads of grassy open spaces, waterways, trees, benches, picnic tables, etc. Pet friendly, Splash pad and Kids play area, including a basketball court! There's even a Restaurant called the "Boathouse". So far everyone I've met is very friendly.
  • Great park! I loved all of the bridges. The kids playground was my favourite part, it felt so lively. The park was also very big and there was a lot of area to walk around and explore.
  • Many options for play for children age ranging for just walking to 10 years old. A nice place to go for a relaxed stroll or even a bike ride. Perfect for playing Pokémon Go as it has a few gyms and many pokéstops. There are ducks and squirrels aplenty who are very friendly. Lots of benches for seating.
  • A nice quiet part to go to. Victoria Island is quaint with the ducks in the water. In the summer, they offer paddle boat and canoe rental. Prices are a bit steep, but, if you want to have a nice 1/2hr-1hr paddle, go for it!
