St. George's Cathedral, Kingston
(4.7/5 based on 45+ reviews on the web)
As the mother church for the Anglican Diocese of Ontario, St. George's contains the 'cathedra' or Bishop's chair, the symbol of his leadership.

First and foremost, St. George's Cathedral is a centre of worship, and is frequently used for major religious events for both Anglican and ecumenical gatherings.

In addition, it is used for both state and civic affairs. For many years Royal Military College cadets and other military groups have marched into St. George's for worship on special occasions.

Because of its fine acoustics, musical concerts are frequently held here.

St. George's is an important tourist attraction in Kingston, and is visited annually by thousands of people from all over the world.

  • St George's Cathedral is beautiful architecture. It separates itself from the rest of the buildings in the area. Make sure you visit on a sunday and visit the mass! Its really really nice! :)
  • A beautiful Cathedral, the city, which despite being historic, bringing together classic and modern elements.

  • The outside is impressive. The Interior is sober. Full plates and poster on the walls. Visited because of the outside which is his only boundary. Not a reason to make a detour. Free but donations encouraged.
