  • Great little spot in the Downtown Kingston! Great artwork for sale, a very instagramable place. Very nice owner who spared several minutes of his day to tell us about Martello Alley, the art and the h...  more »
  • A cute little place. Fun paintings, pleasant staff. Free cookies. The manager had clearly put a lot of work into the yard. Well worth a visit.
  • A short scenic alley with a partially enclosed section connecting several businesses and restaurants in downtown Kingston. It's also part of 'The Haunted Walk Kingston'.

  • Creativity is the best word to describe the place. It caught my eye when we just walked by from the parking to downtown attractions. Ducked there and met David (the owner), a very friendly person. He put a lot of effort to create something different from what you'd expect from standard attraction spots. Worth staying for a spell to enjoy the artwork.
  • A Kingston gem! Martello Alley is such a cute place filled with amazing art. If your are looking for a new piece or a Kingston souvenir stop by to browse through lots of art from local artists and meet the enthusiastic people who work there!
  • What a fantastic unique art studio! So many talented people with a wide variety of beautiful paintings and photography from local artists. I bought 2 wildlife photographs from Karen Leggo which is perfect for my home. Can't wait to come back and buy more beautiful things that caught my eye. They are apart of Kingston you do not want to miss out on!
  • Oh, my! I love this place!! Stop next door at the Tea Shop and get a pastry/drink, then sit in the courtyard.
  • I have travelled many places in the world but I have never experienced any place like Martello Alley. It almost feels as though you are part of a giant mural when you step into the courtyard. One is propelled into the scene that the artists have created. It is not an uptight, uncomfortable gallery space, but rather a living, breathing dynamic space where every corner inside and out, is a feast to the eye. If you live in Kingston and want somewhere to bring your visitors, need a gift, or want to fill your wall with something special, I bet you can find what you are looking for here. If you are visiting the city, be sure to make this part of your stay. It is a special place that you will most assuredly want to include in your memories of the limestone city.
