Kingston Waterfront, Kingston

#1 of 6 in Parks in Kingston
Nature / Park Must See
Enjoy a relaxing lakeside stroll at Kingston Waterfront. A favorite among locals, the walking paths of the waterfront offer picturesque views of Lake Ontario, with several places to sit and take a moment to simply people-watch or feed the ducks. You’ll find many restaurants along the way, as well as a restored locomotive and a farmer’s market with fresh produce. You can take a boat cruise, or rent a canoe from the waterfront to spend a day on the lake itself. • Kingston City Hall and the waterfront area is crowded and Great Lakes Museum, tourist information, restaurants, cafés and places along the river walks and quiet and calm. Don't need plenty of time for tourists is surprising and a better place.

  • Great location, clean rooms. The outdoor dining is very nice. They had 2 double beds and not 2 queens which was a bit tight with 2 kids. Overall had a great experience. Outdoor pool was not open July 21, hey but this is Canada!!
  • Room was clean. However, arriving on the floor, there was a printed out notice about 10 pm being "silent time". This should have been a warning to me. Starting at 9, a large number of young college age people started to drink and party in the hallway. While I can't fault the hotel for this directly, but I can fault the lackluster response they made. At 11 pm I asked the people on the hallway to quiet down, which they ignored. I called down to the front desk and they said they would handle it but nothing changed. Seemed like the hotel did not really care or were not willing to deal with disrespectful guests. And based on the printed notice of 10 pm being "silent time" it's clear they were aware of the issue.
  • Fantastic location. On the water front and in proximity to many restaurants and Princess Street amenities. Room was somewhat dated but clean. The bathroom was very small, and hard to move around inside. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel based on location and overall service and cleanliness.
  • Building a bit old, and the balcony was full of mosquito, I never use it. I suggest them to spray Insecticide or install a net screen. Front desk staff is very patient and friendly. Very good lake view I'd enjoy it. The swimming pool was very clean.
  • Stopped by the hotel to have some dinner on the waterfront balcony. Service was fast and friendly. It started to rain and we were offered to brave the storm under an umbrella or to pick a table inside.

Where to stay in Kingston

The most desirable accommodations in Kingston line the waterfront in the city's downtown region, offering views over the wide St. Lawrence River. If you want to immerse yourself in the city's hippest scene, look slightly west to the area around Queen's University, where you'll also enjoy easy access to some of Kingston's most pleasant parks. Those hoping to take some road trips out of the city should consider staying at one of the many motels and guesthouses along Princess Street--there, you're perfectly placed to hit the road and explore the region.
