  • We really enjoyed several hikes here on our girls weekend in Kelowna. The views and various trails were spectacular.  more »
  • Lots of trails - bike trails are even graded in terms of difficulty. Did I mention that the views are absolutely stunning?  more »
  • Mount Knox won't be the most difficult hike of your life, but don't underestimate it, especially if you took the Apex trail (slightly more difficult than the regular one), if you went up to the Upper ...  more »

  • Best view of the city! Drive up if you have trouble walking steep paths, or walk all the way to the top if you have an hour to spare (round-trip). Paul's tomb is another option if you have some time on your hands. There's less of an incline but it's a nice long walk so you still get a good workout. There's even lake access at the end of the Paul's Tomb walk, and bathrooms along the way. Make sure you pack lots of water for either hike, as there's nowhere to get a water top up along the way.
  • Great place for a summer hike, the initial incline is quite steep but their is road access if you'd rather not hike it. The paul's tomb trail is by far my favourite .
  • Nice park to hang out and have some fun... In the summer time of course.
  • Great set of trails with three convenient parking lot levels so you can decided how much elevation you want to climb on foot. The views are spectacular, and it's almost within walking distance of the downtown core. Trails are well maintained and pretty clearly marked at intersections. Bring water, there is not a lot of shade and the summer sun gets hot!
  • Steady slope to instant gratification. Informative plaques of history and landscapes. Fun and fast mountain bike trail down. Lots of people out walking, running, playing tennis and generally enjoying the outdoors. Thumbs up!

Where to stay in Kelowna

Downtown is considered the most desirable area to stay, with several hotels backing onto Kelowna City Park and offering views over the lake. The southern lakeside suburb of South Pandosy and the inland neighborhood of North Central also offer a range of accommodations, which cater to those looking for a genuine taste of Kelowna. If you have a car, you can stay at one of the roadside accommodations in Dilworth-Enterprise or Leathead.
