  • During summer and fall this beachfront park in Kelowna has something going on. Parking can be a challenge as it is so popular, so walk or take a cab if you can. A word of warning, do not leave anythin...  more »
  • A long meadow between the sea and the city. There are squirrels living, there are also duck son on the grass walk. Since there is a food store nearby, it is no ordinary day or holiday is a place to stay for a half-day.

  • Really beautiful park. Great place to bring your family if you're from out of town. I lived in Kelowna for years and spent almost everyday at City Park. I love the street market type shops they set up on some weekends, jet boat adventures were so much fun, and people constantly inviting you to play beach volley ball. Right next to food and shops (I recommend Gorge's gorgeous gourmet burgers) and my favourite food truck, the Rolling Stove. In City park you'll find the famous "sails" statue and the Ogopogo, cute little attractions to take pictures of or with. Grassy areas for picnics or just to lounge and of course the beach.
  • This is a place to check out the next time you're in Kelowna if you haven't already been there. Take a stroll on there boardwalk, head down to the marina, or experience one of the many shops you'll find. Rent jet skis or boats right on the water, lots to see and do. Be sure to stop at one of the many pianos sitting outside anyone can play.
  • Great during the day. Great events put on. Good parking and bathrooms. A little sketchy at night due to homeless and drug users living there.
  • They literally host Center of Gravity so 5 stars. Awesome park any holiday, although probably avoid super late at night. You just have to take my word for that one.
  • A great place to visit during Summer. Beautiful view, nice "beach", and friendly people. Best time to go is before and after the schools vacation as it is not that busy and you can still enjoy the great weather.

Where to stay in Kelowna

Downtown is considered the most desirable area to stay, with several hotels backing onto Kelowna City Park and offering views over the lake. The southern lakeside suburb of South Pandosy and the inland neighborhood of North Central also offer a range of accommodations, which cater to those looking for a genuine taste of Kelowna. If you have a car, you can stay at one of the roadside accommodations in Dilworth-Enterprise or Leathead.
