Took a spur of the moment trip there with my son and we loved it. Learned a lot about the animals that we saw and had fun! Baby Berkeley was so cute and so were Charlie and Honey Pot. I definitely rec... more »
We visited the zoo on July 20/17. What a wonderful place! The kids loved it! My husband is a double amputee but we were able to get a golf cart to drive around the facility. The staff were wonderful a... more »
z poczatku myslałam ,że to zoo , zwierzęta ulokowane na ogromnym terenie , mają do dyspozycji bardzo wielkie wybiegi i miejsca ukryte w których moga odpoczac od upałow lub ciekawskich ludzi . Najwięks... more »from the beginning I thought that this zoo, animals located on a huge terrain, there are very great and hidden space in which they can rest from the upałow or the curious people. The biggest attraction is a skills shows animals, at the entrance to the Park gets a map with marked individual hours sparring match, but the best are the shows of niedzwiedziami both the large and the youngest resident of the Park. Pets can different tricks and overall presentation you can do a photo with them. A great attraction for children and adults. entrance fee, free parking, a large shop with souvenirs, przakąskami and drinks. I recommend to all.
Prior to heading out to the park...I read some reviews. To all those who have a negative review. Are you sure you went to the right place? My experience yesterday was an absolute awesome one. The staff were friendly funny and inviting... Specially Jacob. The animals are loved and now have a safe place to be. All these animals would probably not be alive if not for the Discovery Wildlife Park. So... For those quick to criticize... Please understand why and how this place functions. If some of the animals are unavailable....there is reason. I truly enjoyed my experience....highly recommend it...and I do plan on going back... Many times. Thanks to all of you out there that put your hard work and passion into it so we can enjoy it.
It was a great time! The shows they had were very well informated! They explained the back ground of the animals per show and things they did or could do! They were helpful with question and the bear show was great learning tool to kids or even adults on things to do and not to do! Even the food was great too! It's a great little day trip and learning trip! Also is amazing place for anyone into photography! Thank ladies and gentleman for the lovely experience and trip out there! Hope to see more and new animals there one day :)
Doug and his team have put together a spectacular arrangement of animals, and given you an opportunity to camp in a zoo! All of the animals here have either been rescued from the wild where they would not have survived without human intervention, or they were confiscated from people as illegal pets. All are being trained for work in movies and TV shows. The campground is brand new and very nice, the spots are large and power is available. But remember to bring enough water for your stay, as they do not have access to fresh water at your site. If you are camping, remember that you can do behind the scene tours of the zoo, with very close access to all of the animals. You can walk with the wolves, feed raccoons, and pet a tiger! My family will be back this summer, and for years to come!
Pleasant surprise! This is not a zoo. It is a home and rehab facility for orphaned and abandoned animals. The handlers / zookeepers are passionate about conservation and education and the animals are treated with great care and respect. A wonderful educational experience for myself and my daughter's. 100% will return.
Meh, just okay...$60 for a family of four is a little steep + the drive from Calgary. Not a bad stop if you're headed north with the kids. Weird rules around "training" required to view certain animals...from behind a fence? Couldn't go into that area with my kids where the animals were kind of close and actually visible.
