  • It was a great time! The shows they had were very well informated! They explained the back ground of the animals per show and things they did or could do! They were helpful with question and the bear show was great learning tool to kids or even adults on things to do and not to do! Even the food was great too! It's a great little day trip and learning trip! Also is amazing place for anyone into photography! Thank ladies and gentleman for the lovely experience and trip out there! Hope to see more and new animals there one day :)
  • Campground facilities were mediocre. No firepits. Gates are locked at night with no emergency numbers posted. A young lady had a medical emergency and was seriously delayed waiting for owner to open the gate. Unlikely to be successful unless changes are made. We won't be returning.
  • The Zoo staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Zoo is well kept with lots of spaces for the animals to wander around. Campground is new and clean but could use a few improvements.
  • Came here for the first time with my family, and I was really impressed. I've never felt so close to the animals... the way things are setup, it feels so intimate, and it didn't feel like we were fighting for a spot to view the animals, and the enclosures allowed for great views. The park was open and clean and well taken care of. And I've never seen animals at a regular zoo seem as happy and playful and animated as I did at Discovery. The big cats were playful and move around and seemed happy, as did the rest of the animals. Had a good time! Would definitely recommend.
  • I booked an appointment for my birthday, and asked if I would be able to go in the cage with the Lions and take pictures, like what they have been advertising at the time, and the lady said yes, but I would have to pay for the tickets to get it done. I decided to get it (which altogether with the other tickets for wolf walk and whatnot) was about $300, for my husband and I. When I got there,it turned out the trainers weren't close enough to the Lions to trust people to take pictures with them in the cage, and they knew it the whole time, before charging and taking the extra money I had paid out. Kind of spoiled the rest of the time there. It could have been my experience there too, but the workers were so pretentious and arrogant. They would low-key imply how ignorant you were if you commented on something they felt they knew more about. Someone said it would be cool to have a wolf as a pet, because they are a symbolic creature of strength in many cultures and practices. The worker basically tells everyone how stupid the person was because they are too wild.
