We farm our vineyards using eco-friendly farming practices, including reduced chemical intervention, in an effort to encourage a healthy and sustainable environment. Our vineyards are located south of the 42nd parallel (as is southern Italy, central Spain and many of the California regions). The Lake Erie North Shore appellation has the highest heat accumulation and the longest growing season of the Ontario wine appellations. Our vineyards’ proximity to Lake Erie provides protection in the cold, as long as the lake has not frozen over, and access to lake breezes that exercise and dry our vines.
Our vines are planted in a north-south direction, with rows spaced eight feet apart and vines planted four feet apart to maximize sun exposure in the morning and provide protection from overheating and sun burn in the evening. We follow the European model and plant multiple clones of a variety, if possible, using various rootstocks to avoid a mono-culture and to maximize the imprint of the terroir. Our pruning, de-leafing, thinning and harvesting are done by hand to enhance quality. Leaf hedging is done mechanically. We tend to each variety individually and have different yields from each. The red varieties are protected from birds by netting because birds favour blue grapes over green and have an aversion to yellow.

Excellent wines! My wife and I are enjoying their Pinot Gris as I type so thought I would give them a thumbs up. The Pinot Noir is quite good too! Great place to visit in the Harrow wine district.

What an absolute joke. I’m fully vaccinated, my partner is not. We asked for an outdoor patio seat. They have an extremely large outdoor area, and one of the areas was the size of a football field with not a single patron. I offered to come in and waitress myself, so that zero contact would come in with my partner and their staff or other patrons. I was told outdoor and indoor required vaccination regardless. When I asked if we could just both come in to shop and purchase wine- it was no probleM!!! HOW DOES THIS MAKE SENSE?!?!!
Customer service definitely needs improvement. We visited on a weekday and had to wait to be served. The hostess was so busy that we did not get acknowledged. We were interested in wine tasting, and did not have a reservation. They treated us poorly, asking us to stand in one corner. We left and went next door to Crew which offered a much better experience
What an amazing meal! When we heard the specials we knew we had to try them. Flavours were so spot on! Our waitress also helped us with our wine choice - she knew her wines, and allowed us to try the ones we were debating on. A great stop!
My sisters and i had a wonderful evening. The food the wine the dessert was all amazing.and our server Chloe was the best. her knowledge and personality and professionalism was icing on the cake
What a beautiful winery with fabulous wines. Our hostess was very knowledgeable and courteous. I can't wait to go back in the summer to see the property in bloom.
