The staff was very friendly and the whole property was very well kept and clean. The tour guide did a wonderful job telling us all about making maple syrup both today and the pioneer way. She answered all of our questions as well! So knowledgeable, thank you!

I had a great experience during the Christmas Holiday Tour at the Homestead. Jessica was very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to listen to and learn from. The curator went above and beyond and provided me with instructions and materials to make my own holiday weaved reindeer since I missed the original event due to work. There are great Christmas gifts made by some very talented locals at amazing prices.

Very interesting property with dedicated knowledgeable staff and energetic volunteers .Guided tours of the main house , interpreters at the steam engine driven saw mill , working blacksmith shop during events , and the other buildings make it a worthwhile visit . A large new interpretive building near the garden area is completed and open to the public . A primitive trail eastward from the sawmill leads you along the shoreline and ends at a small marsh , where wildlife can be spotted .
