  • Great place to visit. A large portion is free, but often they have special displays which cost a small fee to view. I love going here with my daughter. We try and make it to every display. They change pieces and collections often so it's never boring! If you love art and learning, definitely check this lovely gallery out. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There is also an outside courtyard with great sculptural art and photo opportunities.
  • This is a really amazing art gallery and I really enjoyed visiting. The exhibits were very nice and descriptions were very informative. I enjoyed the Indigenous sculptures and artwork immensely. The original paintings throughout from Canada were very nice to see and the themes / groupings were appropriate. My favourite was the Volkswagen Van with all the movie and pop culture figurines and movie characters. There were lots of super heroes/villians and even Star Wars was incorporated. The gift shop was really nice with lots of artwork and prints. I really enjoyed my visit and would happily visit again. I was Solo and able to go through all the exhibitions in an afternoon.
  • Great place to visit with many amazing pieces of art on display. Best of all is Free Friday's on the first Friday of each month from 4pm-8pm (admission to Level 1). Admission to Level 2 & the Jean & Ross Fischer Gallery is also free. Definitely worth the visit if you want to see learn something new. Great place for a date if you appreciate art. The gift shop also has some great things which surprised me since gift shops are usually very kitschy.
  • Free for McMaster University students with Student ID any day of the week. Otherwise the prices aren't staggering. Cool place for kids and the curious intellects. You will have gained a new perspective on something you had seen in the Gallery for sure. 10/10
  • Love the exhibits they have on and also.their permanent collection on the second floor is worth seeing a few times a year. The gallery shop is also Interesting place for gift giving and very fairly priced. The gallery also has programs for kids and an art room for them to play in.
