  • The Seaport Farmer's Market is an absolute must for any visitor (especially on Saturday). Delicious food, great coffee and a wide array of vendors for any interest.  more »
  • For a market over 250 years old, it is still going strong. Many, many more vendors than would be possible to visit, and so muchh selection. Do plan your visit. We came as it was winding down and the a...  more »

  • Always come here when I'm visiting halifax. I love the diversity of shops, great good and entertainment . The whole environment of the market is inviting. There is always places to sit and the location to the harbour front is perfect. There is always a lot of parking too! Perfect place to make it easy and inviting to shop local!
  • A great place to sample and buy some local goods. Be sure to bring some bags and an appetite! Lots of options for eating from Asian, African and local. Also some wines and beer and spirits are enjoyable too. Check out for free parking close to pier 20 if you are ok with a walk and away from the crowds.
  • Lots of local food producers and crafts people. Parking can be found across the street at the VIA rail station if you can get free parking. There is also a couple of small shops that open early, and Garrison brewery if you want to pick up a beer.
  • This is a great place to visit on the weekend, particularly on Saturdays. Some stalls are open on Sundays and during the week but far fewer than on Saturday. This market offers a wide range of products from local vegetables to fish, butchers, coffee, and arts and crafts. There are several options for ethnic foods, including: Caribbean, Indian, Chinese, and many others. So many great options to enjoy here! Limited parking due to its popularity. Located on the harbourfront, perfect for going on a walk after visiting the market. I recommend visiting this place while in Halifax.
  • A place to get farm produce and some home made beverages and cooking ingredients. Make sure you visit earlier in the day on opening of market to have better choice. However the number of participants is highly disappointing. Halogonians deserve much bigger market. The food counters could get unappetising later in the day. In short there is lot of scope for improvement.
