  • I had read about this market online and attend Farmers markets in my home city and this one is very small. What vendors were there were very pleasant and there was some really neat handmade items.
  • Nice market with lots of food. Booths that sell organic fruits and veggies. This is where the cruise ships port, so this place can get pretty busy if there are more than one ship there. Lots of craft ...  more »
  • Even though I had read on various sites such as TripAdvisor and others that the Farmer's Market would be open the first week of October, there was very little there, perhaps a dozen or so crafters and...  more »

  • One of my favourite places on weekends. This place personifies Halifax and Nova Scotia. Packed in the summer and still pretty busy in the winter. Saturday has more people and more vendors, Sunday is scaled back and more intimate but still worth the trip. There is a rooftop patio with unparalleled views of the harbour. Any visitor or local would be well advised to check this place out at least once in their life. One of my top five favourite places in the world.
  • I absolutely love coming here. It's better in the low season when the place isn't flooded by tourists and cruise ships, but even at the height of busy season there's much fun to be had here by young and old alike. It's always nice to support local artisans, farmers and ethnic food vendors. There are always new types of cuisine to experiment with, and plenty of organic produce. Parking can be a problem if you're local.
  • One of my favourite places in Halifax. Have to go on Saturday or Sunday for best experience. I can't wait till the christmas craft market. Lots of local crafts people and cuisine to try.
  • a must for locals and visitors. great inspiration for local business webbing and want-to-be entrepreneurs! I used to take my kids here on a Saturday morning after ballet classes, soccer practice, or just for brunch. It's a great alternative for those families looking for something to do then go to a mall :-/ with their kids as it's free and totally inspiring! It brings out the creativity and motivation bug in all of us... including the kids!
  • Always an adventure when visiting the Halifax Seaport Farmers' Market. From fresh produce and local food products to handcrafted artwork and locally made wares, this market has it all. Make sure to give yourself at least and hour to browse venders.
