  • If you love flowers and trees, this is a place for you. Beautiful ponds and fountains. Lots of places to rest and take in the view. They have a family area. Great for a picnic. There is a restaurant as well. Public washrooms at the main entrance. It is beautiful!
  • I recently visited this public gardens in Halifax, NS. This is a Victorian era garden of about half a kilometer in radius and considering its antiquity it's reasonably maintained. It's located within the proximity of downtown on a busy street housing boutiques, restaurants and shopping. The gardens provides a good casual relaxing stroll for someone who has free time and nothing better to do. There's also a stage where in the summer shows are held. While this place is among the attractions Halifax has to offer to visitors, this is not a place someone would want to chose Halifax to visit.
  • It’s a very nice little park. You can tell they put efforts in designing the park. It’s small but has all the elements of a nice park/garden feel. There’s a pond, fountain, gazebo, really nice trees and flowers. Straight alley with benches, curved walk ways. If you are in the are, it’s worth taking a little walk to see. You’ll feel relaxed instantly. Since it’s not a big park, if you are not close by and decide to take the time to get there, you might be disappointed because it’s not a big park. But a must see if you are not too far.
  • This is a classically designed Victorian garden with roses, floral beds and mature trees. Features include a band shell with performances in good weather and an ice cream shop in a historic structure. This is a little sanctuary in the centre of a busy city. Park on surrounding streets and enjoy a stroll.
  • What a wonderful 6 acres of Victorian gardens! There are fascinating unusual trees from all over the world, reflecting the interest that Victorians took in exotic places. The design of the flower gardens and carpet beds are both seasonal and diverse. Seating for tired walkers and folks who want to read a book is everywhere. A bandstand of Victorian design provides space for concerts, the Sunday ones being free. Enjoy your visit when you come.
