  • Lays something fun to do here . It's a wonderful service that skates can be borrowed free of charge whether roller skates for summer or ice skates in winter. It's a perfect place for a family outing.  more »

  • Every time I skate somewhere else I remember how completely spoiled we are in Halifax with this gigantic free outdoor skating rink. Ice quality is excellent under reasonable skating conditions, there's loads of room, and people have the good sense to stick to the outside if they are slow skaters. They also have various props for learners to use. Generally a good mix of beginners and somewhat to very skilled skaters. Not to be missed.
  • It is totally free to come here, get skates, skate for a while, warm up in the warm room, and be social. It's also OK to skate here late at night. Bring your own skates though.
  • Would be better if you could sign a waiver not to wear a helmet. It doesn't make any sense when winter skating helmets Are not mandatory. Your music selection is questionable it's as if your catering for a certain crowd. If you played better music and advertised more it would be a lot more people on the Oval in the spring and summer months are not mandatory
  • The perfect place for skating. Groomed often and various time posted for various groups. They even have free rentals for those with no skates, or great for visitors.
  • Absolutely love this place. Such a great place to let loose..whether it's by skating, roller skating or roller blading. It's always fun times. And I love how they rent the footwear and gear. So everyone can go.
