  • Center is very interesting place to visit, awesome displays of Haida costumes/apparel. Bistro food is delicious and they even sell native gifts.
  • This is a 'must see' when in Skidegate; impressive displays, information and gift shop. Very educational.

  • Cool museum with classic Haida architectural elements, and some interesting displays, & classy gift shop. The chef at the Kay Bistro here is world class, fusing west-coast style, creativity and panache.
  • Absolutely beautiful building and content about Haida culture and history. The cafe serves excellent lunches. Nice gift shop. Make sure to have at least an hour for the paid gallery area.
  • This centre offers a definite "must-visit" experience for ANYONE coming to Haida Gwaii, preferably early in their stay, so they have a deeper sense of the unique and precious opportunities here. The Centre displays traditional, historical, natural and contemporary aspects of life on Haida Gwaii in spacious exhibit halls are conducive to self guided wandering or follow along with the knowledgeable tour guides. A significant contribution to the renaissance of Haida life and art. My family reports excellent eats at the Bistro too. (Too bad, I didn't make it out of the museum before closing time!)
  • Stunning amount of history here!
  • Make this your first stop in Haida Gwaii, the museum gives a great grounding in the island and people's history.
