4.5
Explore the rare ecosystems at Pinery Provincial Park. Established in 1957, the 2,500 hectare (6,189 acre) park is dedicated to protecting the ecology of oak savannah and coastal dunes, as well as their respective wildlife. Choose one of the numerous scenic hiking trails, or cycle along the savannah path. Enjoy the picturesque lakeside views with a relaxing walk on the shores of Lake Huron, and rent a canoe or paddleboat to get out on the water. A birdwatcher's haven, the park also has facilities for overnight camping and fishing. See Pinery Provincial Park and all Grand Bend has to offer by arranging your trip with our Grand Bend tour app .

  • Can be overcrowded at times (I find the Pinery gets very busy with it being next to Grand Bend and all) but very beautiful and usually very tidy. The only downside is the Raccoons, those little...  more »
  • We got a day pass looking to hike the fall colours. Unfortunately, the trees weren't in peak colours yet, but the hiking was still really enjoyable. We found that the paths were quite varied - from...  more »
  • Great spot for a family get away on Thanksgiving. Hiking, beach walks, canoeing. Lots to do. In the fall, beware of ticks, but as long as you keep an eye out you'll be ok.  more »

  • Great scenic spot to camp for families. Facilities are clean and we've been coming here for many years. Only rating 3 stars as the beach has really deteriorated over the past couple of years and is now very small. There is a lot of gravel and rock where a much larger sandbar used to be. Not sure if anything can be done to fix this without damaging nature/habitats.
  • My family and I love it there! We go in a tent and we have a making time. The washrooms aren't a long walk. We saw some turkeys walking around. My family and I go to town and go to aunt gussied for break feast and go to sea jewels and go mini golfing and walk through the stores. Amazing campground.
  • Ok I am not a big fan of this park. It is big with lots to do. However the sites are small, I feel like your waking up to being on your neighbors site. If this was all that was available than I would go back, but there are definitely better parks in Ontario.
  • The Pinery is the best provincial park in South Western Ontario, it has everything you need to enjoy a nature filled get away from the city. You don't have to pack any big sports gear because you can rent canoes, paddle boats and bicycles at the Pinery store, which is great for loading up on stuff for around the fire. The restaurant has fairly good options and there's ice cream, which is a great way to beat the heat on those long summer days. Or if you're getting tired of the mosquitoes, it's just a short drive from the popular restaurants and shops of Grand Bend
  • One of the best provincial parks. Big park that has tons of trails kayaking/canoeing and many great beaches. Can be busy during long weekends but once in the park things are nice
