  • We booked our site in advance for 3 couples, sharing a site. I think our site was #139. On our way home from Sarnia several weekends previously we stopped and asked if we could look at our site to mak...  read more »
  • Great campsite, clean washrooms and showers, close to the beach and great trails to bike and hike! Only downfall was the cost of wood and how quickly it burned! A bit of a rip off! One noisy campsite ...  read more »
  • I've been to many provincial parks and this one ranks high on my list. It has many sites to choose from; all of which they do their best to make sure privacy is accounted for. The park is well maintai...  read more »
  • Just spent 10 days here and loved every minute of it. I had no problem with the staff and the park was very clean including the washrooms. The beach was beautiful and the dunes were amazing. The activities were fun. I highly recommend the nocturnal walk. They only thing with this park is it dies have a lot of poison ivy so be careful around your campsite and the trails. Can't wait to go back next year!!
  • Worst camping! I was in a tent in Riverside with a child and dog. There's poison ivy everywhere! The amphitheatre education evening don't go it was awful the nasally young rude lady speaking told a group of young kids there are black window spiders that could kill you and they when the spoke she told us all to be quiet. The beach was so short you couldn't lay down. The dog beach was literally 30 minutes away from the campground and barely any signs that made sense for driving around in the campground.there was rats under my tent! I've camped everywhere never had such a bad time. I can see why Toronto people suggested this campground they wouldn't know any better than to have to drive everywhere and spend time in lines with rude people. Anywhere north is better than this!!! Poison ivy, rats! Black widow spiders!! Wtf! I was booked for a week and stayed 4 days that's sad considering this was all I was looking forward to all year:( very disappointed!
  • Even though it’s a 10 minute drive from the commercialized town of Grand Bend, the Pinery does a great job keeping the “campground” aspect of camping separated. There is a LOT of effort put into the roads so they’re almost always smooth. I mean even the gravel roads are smooth, without large potholes or “washboard” roads. The showers stay hot and there are plenty of them. There is SO MANY beaches to choose from. Some are quite rocky, some are quite short, some are dog beaches, and some are everything else. If you don’t like one, try the next one over and repeat until you find “your beach”! Renting the watercrafts for the river sometimes seems a bit silly… especially when it’s really busy. You kinda just feel like another customer being shoved into a barrel with a ton of other people around you. Still fun though! The ice cream is SO GOOD. I recommend the medium (2 scoops) mint and cookie doe! :)
  • Just got home from a 3 day 2 night camping trip at The Pinery Provincial Park and I cant wait to go back! We stayed in the dunes campground which we had to book months in advance and the washrooms and showers were outstanding! I don't think there was ever a time they were dirty. The beach is beautiful and the view from the dunes is breathtaking. We found that everything in the store as well as the various rentals were very fairly priced! There are so many options of things to do that we just couldn't fit it all in on our mini camping trip I recommend a longer stay or a couple stays through out the summer! So very impressed with this park!
  • Loved camping here! It was beautiful, the facilities were clean and stocked, and the lake was lovely and great to swim in. Bring watershoes though, the beach is mostly rocks. I also saw that the Pinery has a calendar of events (the majority geared toward children) educating about the area. There were about three every day.
