  • We have been making the trek to Halloween on October 29. A really great activity that gives access to certain areas of the zoo which we do not have access during a regular visit. The monitors, Michael and Pierre-Olivier, are good communicators, playful and passionate by their work. We could see very closely and even touch some of the animals. We have made various challenges during the visit. The evening trek is really nice, it's really a VIP tour of the zoo (only a group of 25 people with 2 monitors). The kids really loved and adults too. Great experience to live with the family.

  • We're regulars here attending at least once every summer. It's a perfect way to really take advantage of an entire day. The zoo is well maintained, clean and the animals look very well taken care of. The water park doesn't have any crazy high slides but there's plenty to keep you busy for a few hours. Be sure to arrive early as the parking lot fills up quickly and then you'll have to take a shuttle bus to another parking lot that is quite far away.
  • Granby Zoo, what a mess... I immediately regretted coming here after I spent a little over 45 minutes trying to park my car. I couldn't wait to get out of my vehicle after driving an hour from Montreal and definitely didn't need another 45 minute delay to add to this. What irritated me was the absolute chaos trying to get in with almost no instructions that you could take the back entrance which only took 5 minutes of our time. You'd have to know ahead of time or risk waiting like a nitwit in your car for over half an hour. THANKS! (-2 Stars) That was my first suggestion for you, now here's a second. DO NOT COME HERE DURING CONSTRUCTION HOLIDAY IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY A ZOO EXPERIENCE. It's insanely busy and clearly indicates Montrealers are starving for another zoo in or around Montreal. Granby zoo as well as the city doesn't hold the capacity for so many people and it really took away from our experience having so many people constantly around you. If you're cluster phobic, this is NOT the place for you. (-1 Star) The zoo is pretty big with several "sections" with continent themed attractions, with maybe half the people here I could see how it could be fun. (+2 Star) Ultimately it's about the animals right? If you like to see the bulk of animals at a distance then this is the zoo for you! Maybe I'm difficult but I don't find much appeal to look at giraffes which are located 300 feet from me, or need to zoom your camera out completely to take a picture of a rhino. Or gasp, watching an exhibit with an animal, who's hiding all the way in the back in some hole. I understand these are animals and with people and weather conditions they can get stressed or lethargic but ultimately I'm describing what I see and how incredibly pointless it was to look at them in this condition. It was pretty clear many of the animals were unhappy. (-1 Star) With the invention of the internet or by watching TV I can see high definition footage of said animals instead of, "yep, that's a giraffe in the horizon." "oh snap, look at that unhappy lion!" "by gawd, gorillas are real?!?" The times where the animals came close to people, you'd know right away as because people flocked excitedly to see this rare experience they paid the megabucks to get to see. Lastly since I'm a foodie, let's discuss the food. Well, it was disgusting and quite expensive! Voila. I've never eaten such a sad chicken sandwich in my life. It clearly seemed they took it from a generic president's choice box straight from the freezer package which was bought in bulk and heated on a hot plate. I was quite disappointed to see such a generic meal that you can buy yourself at any Maxi or IGA for about 3 bucks but obviously nearly 15 dollars. It was nicely presented but was pure crapo!!! (-1 Star) GRANBY ZOO? MEH, I'VE BEEN TO MUCH BETTER. My daughter liked it but was constantly disappointed with the animals not being so close, she was far more interested in the books in the car than the zoo prior and after we left.
  • Very nice place. Went there with our 8-week-old and loved it (he - of course - slept through most of it). Everything is very clean on the people side. They have a 'halte bébé' where you can (breast)feed your little monkey. As for the animals: they seem very well taken care of. I usually pity the animals in a zoo for being in way too small enclosures and therefore looking miserable, but not so much here in this zoo. We had to park in the additional parking around the corner, so we had to walk for a bit, but since the weather was nice, we didn't mind. Since we arrived at 2pm, we got a discount of 30%, but we gladly would have payed full price. We had a great afternoon here! We'll be back!
  • Great Zoo! Very big and has so much to offer. We didn't even have time to see the whole place, we only saw some of the slides. The waterpark is fantasticc!
  • Had a great time here with the family. came with adults and two kids. Having everything with in one location was great. The zoo, rides and the waterpark. The only down side was the traffic leading up to the parking lot... which was full but we found a parking across the street. Hope to return.
