Don't miss one of Golden's emblematic landmarks at Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge--at 46 m (151 ft), the longest covered timber bridge in all of Canada. Built in 2001 by community volunteers for a town-wide event, the bridge lies within easy walking distance from downtown Golden. Aside from its practical function, the Douglas-fir structure symbolizes cooperation by locals in the community. Combine your visit to the bridge with a bit of browsing in the town's quaint shops. • Great place to go for an afternoon stroll as you sip your warm cup of coffee. Informative and in a good location.
  • Golden is a quaint village with a beautiful river running through it and snow capped mountains surrounding it. It's well worth stopping and spending a night here.
  • I started a early morning run at the K.H P. bridge. What can anyone's a cool bridge. Made of wood....over a river...
  • This wooden bridge itself is a work of art, and has a beautiful little area with flowers and archways. It's most gorgeous at night though I feel, with the bridge gently light up. The view over the river is very pretty, especially at sunset/sunrise.
  • Very cool bridge, nice shady break on a hot day!
  • This is a gorgeous bridge, and connects a nice tail system in to the heart of town.
  • A much needed rest. An unexpected surprise. A garden retreat.
  • Great local piece of engineering. Something really different that I didn't expect to see.
