  • It really has everything and even in relatively poor snow conditions we skied everywhere. Great steeps and excellent glade skiing.  more »
  • This is the biggest , gnarliest ski/ride mountain in Canada, if not the world. I almost feel bad writing this because I don't want anymore people poaching my pow.  more »
  • Not sure how well beginners would do here but for those that can handle the challenge this is a fantastic resort.  more »

  • Went here for a day of lift riding. Spectacular scenery, good facilities. Bike was poorly set up however, and resulted in a couple of crashes despite stopping into the shop for adjustments, so that was a bit of a let down for how much money I spent on the rental. Trails are fast and rough (not ideal for beginners) and there are enough to spend most of the day riding new runs. Gondola goes right over Boo, the resident grizzly, which is so cool to see.
  • I love skiing here in the winter. They have some amazing steep chute runs. Not the best place for beginners but they do have some areas for newer folks to the slopes. I would recommend going up the gondola if you are a green type skier. Blue skier should be fine but might find it a bit intimidating. Lots of great difficult runs to push your ability if that's what you are looking for. Really long longs top to bottom as well.
  • Visited when the summer activities were closed and winter hadn't started. Very nice ski resort, very new and not overwhelmingly big. Nothing was open when I was there, but the place has potential. Via Ferrata was closed... we went to Banff instead.
  • KHMR is a must do on my list for Golden. As a group of 8 that had never been to the Canadian Rockies, we were tempted to drive all the way to Banff for the Banff Gondola and views. Luckily, we chose the KHMR Gondola and I am SO glad we did. The views are outstanding, lunch at Eagle's Eye restaurant was a blast, and we were even able to fit in a hike while at the top. The Gondola and available packages are not well advertised on the KHMR website, but I highly recommend for those visiting Golden.
  • Love to ride at K Ho! Its an amazing hill with wicked terrain. In the summer i love to hike and shoot weddings on the mountain. It has a huge variety for shooting!
