  • It is closed and boarded up, no plaques to be seen anywhere. Very windy place. Information is found about the site on the internet.
  • We were in Glace Bay to tour the mining museum and wanted to visit Marconi. Unfortunately, the small museum was closed; attractions tend to close just shortly after labour day in the Maritimes due to ...  more »
  • The displays inside are well done and the history is very interesting. The ranger provided a wonderful summary of the history. The site itself has little left of the original telegraph station but it ...  more »

  • This site is gorgeous in the Spring. I visited with my fiance in the late afternoon, and it was chilly, peaceful, and entirely devoid of other visitors. The cliffs and the sound of the ocean are beautiful. Aside from the natural beauty of the site, the remains of Marconi's towers are fascinating. There are several signs with historic information, even if there are no guides to help. On a different note, this site is so difficult to find! We had to use our GPS and just trust that we were indeed going the right way. You will pass by a lot of houses in a residential area before you arrive.
  • It's small but extremely significant to telecommunications history. Guides were wonderful and approached visitors to offer short tours and offer their expertise. Beautiful view. We did the Miners Museum 8km away in the morning, had lunch, then did Marconi. Hit the Fossil Centre after lunch, all at a nice easy pace.
  • Very educational stop. Nice views. Learned lots on Marconi's scientific contributions.
  • Fascinating history. Friendly and knowledgeable staff at a place just tucked away in a small town.
  • Small but very well executed. Knowledgeable staff.
