  • You may be disappointed. There are many interesting exhibits and it is worthwhile visiting once if you are a resident of Ottawa. However, if you have travelled and seen some of the great museums of the world, this museum is not in the same league as those in London, Washington or Vienna. However, it should be noted that I am posting this in early June 2017 and the top floor was closed and scheduled to be open in July 2017.
  • Great museum for families. Close to Ottawa if you're touring! Loved some of the retro artifacts and exhibits. Would definitely go back. The architecture of this building is worth exploring itself.
  • Every Canadian should visit this museum at least once in their life. Lots of interesting, informative and interactive exhibits that encourage pride in our nation and unity. They also have lots of exhibitions that are constantly being revamped and updated so I try to make it a habit to stop by at least a few times a year.
  • Avoid this museum. Half the exhibits are closed now and they are still charging full price - $46 for two adults. The descriptions of the items are also very sparse and basic. e.g. "spoon, before 1900". I am disappointed. I expected more based on all the 4 and 5 star reviews.
  • Very big, modern, spacious and luminous museum complex dedicated to the history of development of human civilization. The exhibition is variable and interesting; has some unique exponents. Very recomendable to visit this museum with kids; I found it very educative.
