National Park Nature / Park
Explore the wonders of Forillon National Park, Quebec’s first national park. Within the park you can find forests, sand dunes, cliffs, salt marshes, and the sea coast. Take a quiet stroll along one of the beaches, or snorkel and discover a colorful underwater world. Take time to watch the seals play along the shore or the sea birds. The park is also home to other wildlife, including foxes, bears, moose, owls, and falcons. Visit Fort Peninsule, a World War II fortification used to protect Gaspe Bay. An underground tunnel is accessible to view a cannon, still in place today. Put Forillon National Park into our Gaspe itinerary builder and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Having been spoilt by the Parks in the Rockies, this isn't in the same scale but great in its own right and being right on the Atlantic makes it special. There are plenty of walks and other adventures...  more »
  • We did a short easy hike off of the cruise ship. It was cold, dreary and windy so not the best time for an opinion. I didn't feel we had good views as we only walked along the water. If one went into ...  more »

  • An absolute must-visit park if you are in the Gaspé region. Gorgeous park in and of itself, its facilities are top-notch with various activities for all levels. My favorite hike is 'Les Graves' an 8km hike along the coast with breathtaking ocean scenery at every turn.
  • Beautiful views including the tower! Has a nice waterfalls too with red chair! The facilities are a little worn down though
  • The Gaspé is beautiful. The park has many trails to follow and explore the region. Huge park.
  • Spent the day hiking and driving around the park. Well worth the time and the price (free on Canada's 150 )
  • Perfect place to escape a crowded city. Many cool lighthouses. But it is far from any bigger city. So better plan for more than a weekend.
