Forillon National Park, Gaspe

(4.8/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web)
Explore the wonders of Forillon National Park, Quebec’s first national park. Within the park you can find forests, sand dunes, cliffs, salt marshes, and the sea coast. Take a quiet stroll along one of the beaches, or snorkel and discover a colorful underwater world. Take time to watch the seals play along the shore or the sea birds. The park is also home to other wildlife, including foxes, bears, moose, owls, and falcons. Visit Fort Peninsule, a World War II fortification used to protect Gaspe Bay. An underground tunnel is accessible to view a cannon, still in place today. Put Forillon National Park into our Gaspe itinerary builder and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • We did a short easy hike off of the cruise ship. It was cold, dreary and windy so not the best time for an opinion. I didn't feel we had good views as we only walked along the water. If one went into ...  more »
  • Nice nice nature and should definitely be visited again, if I get in these parts. We were 4 adults set off in October and yes it was cold and maybe also too cold, if you had had children with, but for us it was autumn colors enough to forget the cold.

  • Hikers me easy to come by. Did you see the bear? No. And he, he saw you. And show me pictures that we see a bear quietly spend 3 or 4 metres behind me. Hikers, if you recognize yourself, thank you to speak your photos (it was in August 2014). But even without the bear, Forillon Park remains one of my fondest memories of Gaspésie.
