National Park
Explore the wonders of Forillon National Park, Quebec’s first national park. Within the park you can find forests, sand dunes, cliffs, salt marshes, and the sea coast. Take a quiet stroll along one of the beaches, or snorkel and discover a colorful underwater world. Take time to watch the seals play along the shore or the sea birds. The park is also home to other wildlife, including foxes, bears, moose, owls, and falcons. Visit Fort Peninsule, a World War II fortification used to protect Gaspe Bay. An underground tunnel is accessible to view a cannon, still in place today. Put Forillon National Park into our Gaspe itinerary builder and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Whenever we go, we stay in love. a place natural, beautiful, especially on the north side.

  • A magical place! The scenery is splendid, reconstructions of stores, farms etc... are perfect. You can imagine life once in these villages. But above all we were delighted by the sea out to see the whales. One boat (in contrast to Tadoussac) a guide who explains very well the different species, which recognizes the whales and you refer to it as if it were family members. If you prefer the cruise here rather than at Tadoussac, whales much less crowded and more beautiful. This Park is one of our most beautiful souvenir of trip!

  • We did a short easy hike off of the cruise ship. It was cold, dreary and windy so not the best time for an opinion. I didn't feel we had good views as we only walked along the water. If one went into ...  more »

  • Perfect place to escape a crowded city. Many cool lighthouses. But it is far from any bigger city. So better plan for more than a weekend.
  • This is a place to get away from it all. Good for camping, hiking, breath taking views. Only one sand beach found and it was a drive from our campsite. Facilities were clean and comfortable. We stayed in an oTENTik which had everything that we needed except sleeping bags. All of the gear was new and easy to use.
  • One of my favorite National Parks. Unforgettable to camp in the park and see the sunrise from ocean.
  • The park was great and I never experienced such beautiful scenery plus I saw whales and seals from top of the shore.
  • Beautiful national park. Loved also swimming with the seals. Don't miss out on Cap Bon-ami
