  • I've been to many events at "Officer's Square", and have always had a good time. As for visiting when nothing is going on, I'm not sure I see the value. Perhaps there is more to it in summer time, but...  more »

  • This area is used for skating (weather permitting) in the winter and concerts and events in the summer. Guests can expect a washroom and water fountain (for drinking). Garbage pails are on site to encourage proper disposal of litter though most people do not care and ditch their litter as they will, or litter from downtown blows in here. The grounds varies in how clean it is, from passable to disgusting. The closest other washroom is at the nearby Tim Hortons or Library which are used by the local drug addicts to get high. Side-note; this is a long time occurring problem in all of the downtown area. Don't expect any change. The area has aweful parking just like the rest of downtown, pricy meters are your only options, through-- to my amazement-- the city has modernized a small amount and have Smartphone App enabled Smart Parking. There is also terrible free Wi-Fi, don't bother attempting to connect. There are monuments on ground to view, please don't let your children touch them, also you don't touch them. Eyes only, don't be a snot. The city guard (The guys in red coats and skirts with the spinny rifles) do some displays here in the warmer months. Don't interact with them, eyes only.
  • Had a ton of fun at the Pride fair. There's always great events at the square and the pokestops make for an awesome little community to hang out with.
  • Lovely spot great views. Also there are 7 pokestops there that almost always have lutes
  • Watched the Tragically Hip concert here. Was fantastic that the city of Fredericton set this up. Loved this idea.
  • There are 3 shows a day of officers doing formations. It is interesting and they give you an opportunity at the end to take pictures with them. Good for the little ones.
