  • We were in fort McMurray for the 2017 Alberta gymnastics provincials. Mac island was a great facility for the competition. Spilt between the 2 indoor soccer fields, it was easy to move back and forth ...  more »
  • Awesome place to go with family or even drop off the kids and have a break lol gets busy on the weekend and parking is always a headache. So plan ahead!  more »
  • The value of this facility to the local community is immense. The parking is there, the food service could do with a improved coffee shop, not all in attendance want to eat carnival food fair. We had ...  more »

  • Macdonald island..a family Centre but leave the family at home! A week ago I went skating on the outdoor rink with my 1 month old son who is in a car seat and in a stroller which was said to be okay. Last night we go again. After paying to go skating not even 5 minutes we are asked to leave because we can not have the stroller on the ice. (They seen my son in the stroller) We called to have the issue resolved and the reception staff was useless and didn't help our situation at all. I can say I will not be bringing my family there to go skating or anything else for that matter.
  • This place is the biggest pile of buttpoo. Crappiest lamest dumbest place in town. Packed with jabrones. Worst gym in the whole world don't even bother trying to get a juicy rip here. The place reeks of boiled walrus. It is so crappy I hate it so much. There was a porcupine in the locker room.
  • All you need is love. However if you cant find love (i know the feeling), Macisland will suffice. A carnival of delightful things to enjoy. The only thing I dont like is waiting for a wristband.
