  • this lake has a nice area for boats and great place for windsurfing .also good fishing too where they hold fishing tournaments
  • Belwood Snacks/Restaurant Neat little place, the food is great, all home made, wonderful desserts, not pricey.
  • Good size lake in secluded forest area. & miles long, great for water sports. We went sailing this week and decided to try here since it was only 40 minutes from our home. Lake is about 45 feet deep w...  read more »
  • Belwood is a nice nature experience for the kids and grownups. We took the bikes to ride around and had a nice dipp in the lake. It's not always easy to find parking towards the back of the park, get there early. Look out for little wildlife like bunnies!
  • It's a beautiful place not far from city. But the management was rude. They cancelled our booking saying it's windy however it was a perfect sunny day
  • Belwood was overflowing with people swimming in a small area, although the larger lake area is probably alright for swimming as well. The trails are awesome, many leading to the water and there are fantastic spots for fishing, complete with picnic tables and some areas have pits and grills for picnicking. There were an overabundance of boaters in the lake and much boat congestion in the parking area. Below the dam, many people hiking, swimming and fishing. Awesome place for a family BBQ and day in the sun!!😃
  • Lots to do at this place. Sit by the water, take your boat out for a cruise, swim at the beach, go for a walk, have a picnic with the family and much more. Recommend getting the GRCA park pass and can get access to a bunch of great parks.
  • Excellent hiking trails and beautiful scenery of the Grand River and Lake Belwood. The Shand Dam is pretty impressive too, as it actually generates electricity with river water.
