  • The museum is a testament of early Canadian social program. Started in 1887, the institution received the poor and needies sent there by city officials. In return for food and shelter, they helped run the farm there. The building itself is magnificent and was a safe haven for thousands of people over 60 years. I am genuinely touched by the mission and what they did. I recommend people visit and experience the benevolent atmosphere. Also take a walk to the cemetery where they buried those died without family claiming their bodies. Life is precious and respected disregard of their wealth or lack of it.
  • It was kind of interesting but it isn't much of a museum. The field trip was boring, the best part of this is the building itself.
  • Amazing museum. Very historic
  • Always something interesting to see here. Check out the trails and old cemetery near by in the summer.
  • Love this building and all that happens here and all the staff
