Long Lake Provincial Park Reviews
Great location and what beautiful scenery! I didn't use the campground, I was just looking for a nice beach to spend the day. The beach in itself is very nice, but the water did raise some concerns fo... more »
This campground is good although the sites close to the beach are way too open and overused. Lots of yahoos in those ones who come for the boating. We've stayed before with friends and I chose this as... more »
People we spoke with were raving about this place but we found it just average, probably because we were camping in the "B" loop campsite area. There are no decent washrooms unless you walk a total of... more »
Great park and lake. The jack fishing is great although you won't catch anything you can keep as there mostly all under size limit. Was there for 5 days and every day we caught and released numerous fish. Only set back is no cell service.
I used the group camping spot with my friends and let me tell you... do not pull your trailer to the end of the road. it took us 30 minutes to maneuver my trailer so we could drive back out. Don't be like us, get out and check out the area on foot first! Other than that one hiccup we had a great time and the whole area has a gate you can shut so people don't mindlessly drive in.
Came here on a Sunday night without making reservations. The lady at the registration office was helpful and got us a great site with power and some trees for our dog to sniff around in. There were great walking paths along the lake and a nice big beach with swimming (no dogs allowed at this part). I also managed to head down to the shore just off of D loop and catch 3 small pike in about 15 minutes. We only stayed one night, but we'll be back again!
Beautiful views, great lake! Camping grounds crowded but quiet enough. Dogs allowed on leashes in campsites but not day area. Some flush toilets and showers but mainly pit toilets. Cafe on site for burgers and ice cream etc until 9pm. Little beach with safe swimming area. Boats available for hire. Wood available for purchase for fires onsite and nearby for cheaper. Convenience store with hot food and petrol located a close drive to campgrounds. Highly recommend!
The site was dirty when we got there. There was broken glass just off the main site in the bush where my kids would play. Also lots of toilet paper in the bush. Was definitely just ignorant campers before us. We cleaned it all up. The site was nice after we cleaned it. The kids had a blast down at the beach. We all caught fish. The out houses were clean and didn't smell bad at all. We Bought fire wood for cheaper down the highway which is a nice plus. We will probably go back again. Hopefully the people that clean the site actually get off their atv and actually pay attention to their job.
