World Waterpark, Edmonton

(3.7/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web)
Slip and slide the day away at World Waterpark, the second largest indoor water park in the world, and a great day out for the whole family. Try one of the 11 water slides, each ranging in intensity from "beginner" to "extreme," the latter of which includes a "loop de loop." Try your hand at the park's surf simulator, where you can take lessons and learn to ride the waves indoors. Expect to pay an entrance fee even if you’re just watching your kids, and bear in mind that the park can get very busy, so consider a midweek visit. • You will enjoy some extreame water slides, warm water pool and exoctic feel in the harsh winter. The kids will love it.
  • I personnaly am to chicken to go on that ride. If you are at the West Edmonton Mall, go look, and if you like that sort of ride, well then, get in it, and hang on. p.s. bring extra underpants.
  • I love this place because the water is just the right temperature. I'm from the Caribbean and I just love lying on the bleachers at this water park. My kids enjoy the free refills at the pop machine. ...  more »

  • Visited Sat Nov 5 2016, having visited several times before. Compared to previous visits the whole place was very uncrowded. Not sure if this was attributable to higher unemployment in Edmonton, or the higher price of admission, but the lack of crowds was a *huge* plus. Some new attractions were present, and the facility seemed cleaner and better maintained than I recall. We appreciated the free drinks and life jacket rentals. The only real downside was the admission process first thing in the morning: Staff slowly saunter out and start opening the doors at 10:00 when everyone's excited to get in, so the day seems to get off to a slow start. Overall, I'd way rather pay $170 for the family with no crowds, than pay $100 and have to deal with long lineups for the slides and huge numbers of people in the wave pool.
  • I asked the kids to rate this for me, "It. was. awesome" is what I got. There is so much to do at the waterpark - so many choices. The price is reasonable and the place is super neat and clean. We really had a great time. Will definitely be going back again, and again, and again. :-)
  • Who doesn't love a wave pool? The pool and slides are tons of fun. Temperature is advertised at 31c all day, but everyone everytime mentions how chilly it gets especially in the change rooms which seems to have a lot of cold air movement. Showers are chilly, family change room very casual and friendly. Warm up the place for an extra star.
  • This place is amazing. Easy to navigate without having to walk as far as most waterparks. I loved it when I was a kid and I love it as an adult. the wave pool always appears tidy and well looked after. they also have surfing lessons which I think is super cool!
  • Honestly, if you read the reviews you will find out how people are complaining about the most stupid stuff and give it a low rating. Starting off, the staff are great. They are polite and carrying. I don't know what Else people are expecting from employees. Some people think just because they have paid to get in now everyone is their slaves. I go there a lot because me and my family love this place, and I see what kind of people the staff there have to deal with on the daily basis and it makes me feel bad for them. The park is over priced, but drinks and lifejackets are free. It has fun slides and has a slide for every age range, and they enforce safety a lot so your kid may not get to go on some slides but it's for safety reasons. Water is cold on some slides. That's an issue . it can be very crowded. I gotta say people are expecting too much, it's just a Waterpark not a vacation to Hawaii.
