  • Pros: Big, lots of parking, it has all the chain stores, great kid strollers for rent. Cons: Outdated and sad looking, no particularly great stores
  • There is a lot to do there. You can spend the whole day with friends, family, date or even by yourself you will find things to do.
  • This is the largest mall I have ever visited. It is full of a wide variety of stores and restaurants. The waterpark is so realistic with simulated wave motion. There is also zip lining.

  • Edmonton's most famous and popular landmark mall. It's a one stop shop for pretty much any retail goods and services you are looking for. Other than retail stores it has an amusement park with a roller coaster ride, a Waterpark that's almost always busy, a movie theatre, ice rink, bourbon alley (lined with restaurants) food courts and fantasyland hotel with theme rooms. Parking is always a challenge most of the day every day especially on weekends. Better avoid the mall on weekends if you live in Edmonton. Lastly there is a hospital right across the road east side of the mall.
  • I hate the parking at this mall. If you go on a busy day be prepared to spend some time looking for a spot. There is a TON to do. Bring your bathing suit! The water park is fun for ALL ages. The wave pool is my favourite. There is also an ice rink! Bring your ice skates! If you are looking for a gift this mall has every shop imaginable and you will easily be able to find something special. Prices are a bit high - but that's to be expected from a tourist hot spot. Specialty items that are hard to find - can usually be found some where in this mall, depending on what it is. I feel like some of their eateries need to step up their game.. it's nothing special - especially for the price.
  • Overall, I enjoy the mall. The shopping is phenomenal! You can find pretty much ANYTHING you are looking for, even if you have to go to a tiny corner to do so. I used to love going to the water park but something awful happened to a friend there; it was so wrong that I will never go there again. I remember loving Galaxy land as a kid, back when it was called Fantasy Land; it seemed much better then. Not sure if it really was better or if it's just nostalgia kicking in. Sometimes I come here, I do really enjoy a few of the rides still. I've never watched anything at the cinema, but the fire breathing dragon was cool (not sure if it's still there) The shooting range is really fun! I enjoyed watching the dolphin (and now sea lion) shows. The hotel seemed average to me, though I did not stay in a theme room, perhaps if I had I'd have a different outcome. I've never used the skating rink, chapel, mini golf course, or gym, so cannot comment on those.
  • For tourists this is a great place to go but for people who have lived here a bit it's old and dated. The water attractions like the sea lion show are run down, they are kept under ground so I can only imagine what their habitat is like. I never had a chance to go in the submarines but I wish they would bring those back as it seems like a great idea. Very disappointed bungee jumping is gone and it was replaced with a zip line. Galaxy land hasn't had any changes or updates in years. Stores always seem a bit more expensive than other locations in the city. It's a good way to waste a day and a lot of money but not somewhere I chose to frequent.
  • As a Former Canadian Soldier of almost 14 years who has lost friends in acts of terrorism From BOTH THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA. I am appalled by the West Edmonton Mall with the FACT that the Stores are being forced by a threatened fine of $250 if their stores were to be kept closed for two hours for a day to Remember ALL of the men and women who not only died for their country and their freedoms that we all ENJOY SO MUCH TO TODAY AND FOREVER..... SHAME ON YOU FOR YOUR DISRESPECTFUL ACTIONS...... BUT MOST OF ALL..... THANK YOU FOR AN EDUCATION OF HOW YOUR OWNERS FEEL ABOUT OUR FALLEN SOLDIERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. THANK YOU FOR BEING HONEST TO THE PUBLIC AND SHOWING YOUR HIGHEST MANAGEMENTS OWN PERSONAL IGNORANCE TO THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO DIED FOR US TO HAVE WHAT WE ALL HAVE TODAY AS CANADIANS. THOSE FALLEN AND STILL FIGHTING FOR OUR NATION AND WHO GAVE US CANADA AND THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US ALL A BRIGHTER INSIGHTFULNESS TO THE NEWFOUND FACTS AND KNOWLEDGE.... THAT UNFORTUNATELY IN THIS MODERN AGE, IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2016, THAT HUMAN IGNORANCE, INCOMPETANCE, UNGRATEFULNESS AND JUST OUTRIGHT TREATOROUS ACTS ARE STILL GOING ON. "LEST WE FORGET" WAS WRITTEN FOR JUST THAT BLOODY REASON. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THAT 2 HOUR PERIOD OF RESPECT FOR WHAT FATTENS YOUR HEFTY LARGE BANK ACCOUNTS, FEEL FREE TO MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY LIKE IRAQ OR SYRIA. JUST FOR THOSE ACTS ALONE, YOU SHOULD BE FIRING THE PERSON(EL) WHO FORMED EVEN THE THOUGHT OF THAT. I am a Military Veteran and I REMEMBER. MOST CANADIANS DO ALSO.....WELL HOPEFULLY ANYWAYS.
