  • I always get excited to go here! There is something for everyone. Iv been with little money and iv been with a little more and no matter what it's a day filled with fun!
  • This complex of entertainment, lodging, food and shopping runs away from usual shopping concept. Includes (in addition to its more than 800 stores) ice rink, Casino, water park, replica of boat, sea lions show, Carnival, cinema, several food courts and restaurants, among many other attractions. Can be a good option for family vacations as it has fun for all ages and tastes. Very nice and big. Worth the visit. Tips: if possible, stay in the hotel of the complex-the Fantasyland, with direct access to the Mall on both floors; If you like pizza, be sure to go to the famous restaurant (cross the Sears store, come out to the street, will be on your left), with great Neapolitan pizzas that are ready in 90 seconds; and, not to get lost, use the digital totems scattered around the halls of this giant shopping: in a short time you will be oriented to take advantage of all the possibilities of the complex.

  • So many attractions to make everyone in the family happy. Great shopping and you do need a whole day to shop' til you drop.
  • I'm from Calgary and have always wanted to hate on West Edmonton mall... I say bad things about it when I'm in Calgary like, "it's too crowded' or "it's too hard to find parking" or "the same stores are just repeated throughout". The truth is however, this mall has everything, parking is adequate, and while it is always busy you can move through the mall in a medium sized group with ease. Whenever I am in Edmonton, and I am going to a mall with family, I will always end up at West Edmonton Mall.
  • This place is a monster! Biggest one in North America (for now, anyways!) A one-stop shoppers paradise. Clothes, sporting goods, groceries, food and pubs, as well as a massive water-park, an amusement park. Goes from kid friendly merry-go-rounds to an adrenaline-pumping roller-coaster. Plenty of parking, all free, 1 higher end hotel on site, and another just across the road. Public transport (ETS) also on site. *Under renovations as of Aug 2016*
  • The mall of malls... a local location central for any shopaholic. To truly take in the experience you would need to spend at least 3 full days within it if not more. With so many hidden gems in every corner you may miss that special location that takes your breath away if not looking adequately. Not just a shopping location but truly a place to spend quality time and fun with friends and family WEM offers you a complete experience with the number of attractions, beautiful eating areas and amazing walkways.
  • The mall is large and the stores have a wide variety. Yet I was not impressed at all by the manipulation of animals for money and animal cruelty. Although I did not pay to watch the sea lion show, I was disgusted by the way it was treated. Probably starved in advance so it would perform, the sea lion only had a small tank with fake plants surrounding it in which to put on a show. After only a few minutes of being released from it's cage, it was put back in the incredibly small concrete enclosure with metal bars, where it probably spends hours without company. This seal should be in the wild or a sanctuary where it can catch fish and behave as a normal one would, although I guess it wouldn't be able to because it was taken away from its mother and handed from a young age. I am disgusted by the way Edmonton mall uses a wild animal for profit and in the process treats it in an inhumane and cruel manner.
  • What is there to say about West Edmonton Mall, it's a mall that has alot of tourist attractions. It's fun to visit but once you've lived here for a long time it has lost its charm. Recent renovations have destroyed alot of charm the mall once had. I still enjoy shopping here and occasionally go to one of the many restaurants on bourbon street. It's a great place to spend the day.
