  • We went there our first time to give our new RV a shakedown. Being a long weekend we expected the typical rowdy campground. It was actually peaceful, the sites are spread out enough for privacy. Great...  more »

  • Not much to do here unless you're happy just hiking and fishing. Sites aren't great, nice pool though.
  • Byng Island is a great outdoor location for the whole family. We paddled out of here one weekday afternoon to go to the end of the Grand River. The rest of the family stayed in the park to entertain my 18 month old nephew who had nothing but fun here. The campsites don't have much privacy, if that is what you are going here for... but this place is a little gem in Southern Ontario.
  • Close to home and nice pool are the only two good things I can say. We were in Sulphur Creek radio free. Nice spots right on the water. When we got there we had no one on either side so we were happy. 24 hours later was a different story. People on the both sides, playing music, coming on to our camp sight, yelling and playing games until well past 1am. No one ever came around to check, and good luck trying to call the front desk. There is no privacy between these sites. We were on top of each other. Apparently, only 7 are allowed on each site. They had probably 25 between 2 sites. Pool was big but you can't bring your dog in the enclosure and no food and drink allowed. Hard to manage when you are camping and have a dog you are responsible for. Great for day trip for the pool. Will never camp there again.
  • Great huge pool, the biggest outdoor pool I've seen. Water goes from little kiddie friendly to diving board depths, so this was great. Admission fees for pool is reasonable, but also a fee to enter conservation park. Rated 4 stars because for camping we heard more noise from the roadway across the river than we expected.
  • I was recommended this place by a customer and I'll honestly say it's not too great for camping. The park itself is decent when it comes to the pool/picnic/boat rentals although there are many camp sites around which don't give you privacy. I booked a premium site and was suppose to get something private however there was absolutely NO privacy around our site. the sit directly across from us was drunk and blasting music at 2 am. I tried to call the office to let them know and no one answered my call. Overall, i would recommend it to people for a picnic day but do not camp here.
