  • Was told they open for the season June 6. The archaeological dig 'Cupid Plantations', however was open and we'll worth a stop.  more »
  • The Legacy Centre tour begins with a brief introduction from a local tour guide and follows with a self guided tour. There are a number of interactive displays that allow you to listen to traditional Newfoundland stories or historical accounts from the area. Other items of interest include the 2nd largest Union Jack flag (in Canada?), a rooftop fairy garden and lookout, and bookshop. There is also an option to take in a tour of the local archeological dig site that is off-site. There is an extra charge of $6.00 per person for this service.
  • Great place very well put together, good parking and easy access. Activities for the whole family.
  • I visited the Centre in 2010 and again today (July 26, 2015). If anything, the Legacy Centre is more interesting now than it was 5 years ago. The staff is knowledgable and friendly, the exhibits are enlightening. I highly recommend it for part of your entertainment while you are in Cupid's. Together with the offerings at Perchance Theatre, it's worth the drive from St. John's and worth including in your plans if you are visiting the island.
