  • The tour of the mine is like nothing else I've done before. Being in the actual old mine in the cold and dark, wearing hard hat and headlamp, it really makes the history come alive!  more »
  • This tour is one of a kind. We wore hardhats with large battery powered lamps. It's cold in the mine, so bring a jacket. The experience was like walking back in time and our guide was well versed and ...  more »
  • I have been on this mine tour twice and would go again. If you have never been in a mine this is an eye opener. Regardless of how hot a day it is outside dress warm for the tour. I believe the walk is...  more »

  • It's sad to know that the miners were treated badly, even worse than a horse. Tough work in such a dark and dangerous working environment. Don't know how much better is the situation of miners today?
  • My family and I had an absolutely fantastic experience on this tour. Our guide was sweet and fun, the tour was interesting and well worth the money. I highly recommend this tour to anyone in the area!
  • One of the highlights of our trip. You get to go into the mine and experience total darkness at one point. The guides are entertaining and informative. My seven year old loved the stories of how rookie miners would get pranked. Follow the signage from the highway through the town. It's easy to find and definitely worth it! Dress warm it's chilly in the mine (but certainly bearable)
  • Loved it. Very informative. Great family fun
  • Google put in the wrong location. The mine is actually 2mins drive from that entry.
