  • Probably a must for train fans because here the Transcanadian Railway was finalized in 1885. If you are not really interested in this historic fact it is still a nice spot for a stop and have picnic.

  • Great piece of history. Well worth the stop to break up a long drive
  • Needs better signage for the stop but was a great experience to see. Ladies who ran the gift shop were wonderful, knowledgeable and gave great suggestions of what else to explore in the train world around the areas. This is must see stop for all train lovers!
  • Heritage important location where Canada was unified as a country by the pounding of the last spike. Not a lot to do; however, if interested in a history stop worth the 5 minute drop in.
  • Interesting point to stop off for those with an interest the the railroads, marking a well known historic point. Easy to find, right alongside highway 1. Parking, gift shop, and facilities with running water.
  • I'm not really a fan of Canadian history, but check it out if you want to learn how the Chinese workers did most of the work on the Canadian Pacific Railway, only to have Sir Donald Smith (some old white guy in charge of the CPR) getting the credit of driving the last spike. Oh, and the souvenir shop's got some fair share of goodies, but don't expect to find anything so precious that you wanna buy it.
