  • Very serene and excellent walk. The rainforest was pristine and it felt like a great privilege to just inhale it all in. Be careful of the slugs on the path - they look just like the pinecones. Saw mo...  more »
  • I have been here countless number of times. On one side you have a nice loop that is approximately 5 km, which you can walk solely on the forest trails or mix it up and walk part trails, part beach. O...  more »
  • I used to live in Courtenay and this was one of my favorite spots to go for a run or walk. It's a beautiful park dense with trees and views of the ocean. I was back recently for a visit and Seal Bay w...  more »

  • Awesome trails on either side of of Waveland Road. The parking lot side leads down to the ocean, fairly steep in places - but only a short walk - maybe half hour in total if you are going slow. Might be a good idea to get a map, which are available in a wood box at the parking lot or just beyond the main gate entrance on the other side. The far side offers numerous trails (some better groomed then others), plus there is off leash area's for your dog's. There is a lovely little swamp within a fifteen minute walk one way from the Waveland parking lot - a good place to view birds, listen to frogs, meditate. You can encounter horses, runner's, mountain bikes. Please note that dog's are NOT allowed OFF LEASH ANYWHERE in park during the month's April, May & June.
  • One of my favorite parks in the Comox Valley. I've been coming here throughout the year to observe the changes of the seasons. The forest walk can be nice and quiet but I enjoy the beach area with wildlife such as seals, bald eagles, blue heron, ducks and cormorants. The only drawback is the area does get a lot of noisy jet traffic flying overhead because the airport is close by.
  • I just love the trails that take you to the beach. They help you unwind from life's stresses as you anticipate the gorgeous beach. I recommend this park to anyone who appreciates west coast nature!
  • Class A trail system through lovely natural forest and a great beach. Stroller accessible.
  • Well maintained. Trail surface us smooth and clean. Wide variety of trail for short or long treks. Good signage.
