  • We happened on this gem by taking a detour off the main drag driving from Victoria to Hatley Castle on the Royal Roads property. Although we didn't spend much time here, it appears to be a popular pla...  more »
  • I am blessed that I live near this beautful gem. I grab my morning coffee and either walk the beach, weather permitting, or sit in my car and watch all the birds. Great place to walk your dog and you ...  more »
  • This is a great beach to walk... long and lots of birds to watch. Enjoy going here whenever I can. You can also let your dog run free in the winter and watch the ships pass by.  more »
  • The lagoon is a beautiful place to see many birds. especially Herons, Ducks and Geese. There is also a huge selection of small migratory birds. The good part is one side of the road facing the ocean where you have the tide coming in and a fairly nice beach. Quite busy in the summer time. And on the other side is the lagoon mostly calm and visited by the birds. You can have a nice far view from Victoria or from Royal Roads college.
  • Beautiful walking nature trails, love the garden we can walk through. Most wouldn't know you can go into it during the day. Amazing amazing! Nature trails are fantastic but just a friendly heads up to the public, it's not wheelchair or mobility aid friendly.
  • Colwood has worked well with Mother Nature to make sure that this is a fun trip for all. There are washrooms, spaces for dogs, plenty of parking, signage and information. It is a wonderful place
  • I love Esquimalt Lagoon, very laid back place to come hang out, watching the sun come up or just sitting on the beach and relaxing.
  • Beautiful! Nice view of Victoria from here. Even driving through with your car is nice.
