Spahat Falls, Clearwater
(4.6/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Through a narrow hanging gorge shoots a powerful rush of water that cascades freefalling some 75 m (246 ft) over the rocky cliff edge at Spahat Falls. The plunging waterfall owes its formation largely to deposits of volcanic rock and shifting icefields that chiselled gorges into the rock face. A brief, five-minute walk takes visitors from the parking lot to the main viewing platform; a longer, alternative hiking trail offers a slightly more scenic route. Using our custom trip planner, Clearwater attractions like Spahat Falls can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • They are some beautiful waterfalls and beautiful environment. The stretch that separates the parking of the viewpoint is very short. Recommended

  • A short stroll from the car park and you are on the edge of the ravine! The view is spectacular and the colours enticing. I had to hold the viewing platform to not jump over!
  • After a short way from the parking lot opens up a magnificent views of a narrow but very high waterfall, which is embedded in a beautiful tiefesTal. On the exposed rock formations receiving man prominently an impression of the effect of water on the Jahtausende. You should have it gsehen!

  • Easily accessible and a glorious view. Super interesting volcanic landform and processes. Different than the usual glacial landforms seen around most of British Columbia.
  • Spahats is equally as impressive as Helmcken Falls, and allows you to get closer. The canyon is majestic and the falls plunge exceptionally scenic. Don't miss the cavern intermittent spring-fed waterfall on the canyon wall.
  • A smaller waterfall with a fine view. Easy access from the parking lot
  • Absolutely dramatic scenery and water falls close to town
  • Cool waterfall! Very short walk.
